I think Gonzaga has been a top 25 program since 2000.

Also, please explain Oklahoma's ranking. A .678 win percentage and missed the tournament five times, and the postseason 4 years. That's not more successful than Gonzaga (who hasn't missed the tournament and won more than 80% of their games)

Not seeing it. The only program to have less NCAA Tournament appearances that is ahead of them is Maryland. Maryland also has one more Final Four and does have a Championship.

Who would you put below them?

Win % doesn't mean much to me, especially since Gonzaga is playing in the WCC. Gonzaga making the tournament every year is impressive, but there were multiple times they wouldn't have gotten an at large bid, which is the benefit of playing in an easy conference. Oklahoma also has THREE more Elite 8's and did make it to the Final Four. Gonzaga has been a little more consistent in terms of getting to the Tournament, but OU has had more premier teams.

That doesn't even make sense. How can you be that? Being the worst top 10 program of all time, means they are still in the top 10.

Not going to run through an RPI guantlet but my gut feel tells me Memphis is top 15 since 2000.

it means there the worst of the top programs, the 10th best program, but on a slightly lower level than the rest of the top teams

Memphis' RPI avg. since the 2000 season is 39. If I had to guess I'd say that RPI doesn't make the top 15. Memphis had a great 4 year stretch w/Cal from 2006-2009. Outside of that, it's been very, very average. Their RPI is in the low 50's minus that 4 year stretch.

Look, buddy. I am a fucking homer. Deal with it. If Memphis's RPI is 39 and that makes 38 teams better than them then how in the hell are they 17th in the poll. Exactly. I say they are top15.

I didn't rank according to RPI. Also just because they are 39 doesn't mean 38 teams are ahead of them. If I had to guess I'd say that doesn't place them in the top 15, but probably somewhere between 16-25 or so.

Who are you taking out of the top 15 then?

I think both 'Cuse and Kentucky both should be ranked higher on that list than say Florida and a few others.:wtf2:

I'm not comparing ou to gonzaga. I just think gonzaga specifically should be higher than honorable mention and ou is too high. OU has had some really bad teams during the time frame. I think Oklahomas win percentage is probably worse than a lot of teams in tougher conferences ranked below them, but I could be wrong.

As long as you've got UNC and Duke in the Top 5, you're okay.

Really? IMO Florida is way ahead of the other two programs. Just for comparison sake:

Florida: 12 NCAA Appearances, 6 S16's, 6E8's, 3FF's, and 2 Titles
Kentucky: 12 NCAA Appearances, 7 S16's, 5E8's, 2FF's, and 1 Title
Syracuse: 11 NCAA Appearances, 7 S16's, 3E8's, 2FF's, and 1 Title

Duke would be better if they weren't tied for 8th in Elite 8 Appearances, that has them just inside the top 5.

Agree OU has had some bad teams during this time frame, but at the same time they are also tied for 10th in Elite 8 Appearances, which is pretty good. And are tied for 20th in NCAA Tournament appearances, and tied for 14th in FF Appearances. Gonzaga has been great in getting to the NCAA Tournament, tied for 1st in the category. But 47 more programs have been to an Elite 8.

I am not sure about win % for OU, but clearly Gonzaga's would blow OU's out of the water due to them being in the WCC.
