Sheantreal Henderson was the Rivals #1 recruit his year. After changing his mind about 20 times where to go he ended up in Miami and didn’t accomplish anything there except getting into a car accident a few blocks from my house.
I remember this. His dad tried to ride Seantrell's football career and turn it into a rap career for himself. It was pathetic.

It’s really sad to watch sometimes. These people put all their hopes and dreams on their kids. There’s nothing wrong with wanting your kids to succeed but I’ve seen youth football leagues here in S. Fla and these people are psychotic with the NFL dreams for a bunch of 9-10 year olds

I’ve seen it in the baseball leagues as well. One dad in particular acted like T-ball was the minor leagues.

2008 OU 2 five star bust

DE RJ Washington
RB Jermie Calhoun

Calhoun transferred and Washington never saw meaningful snaps

Tenn Bryce Brown is another bust that comes to mind. I think he was the #1 player and RB in 2009 or 10

There’s gotta be some Texas players on this list. Nobody washes out more five stars than Texas.

1st one to come to mind. QB Garrett Gilbert got booed by the Short horn fans then transferred

Interesting names, wonder what happened for them to bust? Pressure or possible lack of talent?

A little of both and of being boneheads off the field. A lot of these guys busted because of off-the-field problems.

Dorial Green-Beckham comes to mind as a guy who ended up flaming out because he was a dumbass.

Perrilloux and Mustain are two I remember. Didn't Mustain end up doing alright at Arkansas?

He went 8-0 as a starter but it was mostly just because he had Darren McFadden/Felix Jones/Peyton Hillis in the backfield

Speedy Noil had a decent freshmen year for A&M but then he had injuries and then getting in trouble with the law alot led him to getting kicked off the team.

Texas doesn't land near as many 5 star players as most would like to believe. They haul in a shit ton of 4 stars though......every class, we get like 1, maybe 2 5 stars......

Gilbert was certainly a bust. My guess would be if Texas has any their on the defensive side of the ball.

Texas has really lucked out.

We passed on Metoyer because he had a violent history.
Colorado beat us out for Darrell Scott
LSU beat us out for Ryan Perriloux

Dillon Baxter comes to mind for USC. Pretty sure he was a 5 star. He was supposed to be the next Reggie Bush (minus the free house). Instead, he had academic and off the field issues. Transferred to San Diego St. where he never played and most recently was released twice by the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena League.

I'd put Kyle Prater pretty high on the list for USC, too. Kid had the tangibles coaches dream of for a WR, just could never stay healthy.

I'll take Reggie Wilson for 1000, Alex.

Yeah, I don't hold injuries against a player. It's hard to call someone a bust if the issue is injury. Baxter was a bust because he was a straight up knucklehead.

Good call there. It was unfortunate that both were in the same class. It's not often you have a 5* RB and 5* WR in the same class end up doing nothing for the program.

Looking at the Texas 5 stars, I'm shocked at who were actually rated that high

Chance Mock?
Sloan Thomas?
Bryan Pickryl?

wow. We get decent to good production, but most of these dudes were average.
