I want to add Trey Metoyer 2011 #1 WR 5 Star....OU

Former OU football player Trey Metoyer gets 8 years probation for indecent exposure.

He kept flashing girls in Norman and then again in Texas.

I feel like Ben Olson would've been a good example for Tanner McKee to look at this year. High-4* QB recruit who's taking 2 years to go on his mission trip. I'd be willing to bet he never plays a meaningful snap.

So glad to see Michigan State hasn’t had any Five Star Flops.

Well, at least this list is better than the Heisman winners that don't make it in the NFL.

This list is still a bit flawed but not as much.

Being given a 5-star rating excludes a couple of needed components. Attitude and Maximizing one's talent.

There are kids that "peak" in High School. They're all downhill after that. Attitude is huge.
Football is a journey, not a destination. If you enter college believing you don't have to improve,
you're in deep trouble.

I can think of Xavier Lee at FSU. Now he was a 5-star all-thru HS but I believe he was a 4 when
he signed his LOI. He was a man-child at Seabreeze. Totally dominant, but playing in a mid-range
classification. He thrived on the broken play. He was 6-4 240 with ample speed. He just dropped
back and then took off. He didn't care what the play was. BUT, he had talent and he had
promise. If he would have had some common sense he probably would have been good.
He just couldn't discipline himself to do the needed work, like learning the playbook to ever
be successful. In HS he faced a lot of players that didn't belong on the same field as him. In
college everybody belonged on that field and it wasn't easy for him anymore and he couldn't
work hard enough to regain his edge.

I'm surprised one of our guys didn't make the list, that's been our specialty in the last 20 years. Still waiting for Kevin Grady to wreck some fools.

I see James Banks is on there, but another huge bust was LB Chris Donald.
Rivals.com

5* #1 ILB that never saw the field. Ended up transferring to UT-Chattanooga, and was still 2nd string...

An Army All-American that couldn't even start for an FCS team...kinda crazy.

Reminds me of 5* Dorian Bell from Ohio State's 2011 class. 20th overall recruit and #2 OLB in the nation. He seemed like a can't miss kid coming from Gateway HS in Monroeville, PA. Didn't hardly play a snap at OSU despite being one of the scariest looking players I've ever seen in my life:

5* MLB Jeff Luc at Florida State in 2010 is another one that comes to mind. He was a 249 lb LB coming out of HS, and was built like an NFL starter as a senior in HS. Wasn't necessarily an all-time bust, but he never played a meaningful game at FSU before transferring to Cincinnati:

Isaiah Crowell comes to mind for Georgia.

Had a very mediocre true freshman season and then was kicked off the team for weapons charges(dude filed the the numbers off a gun).

There’s gotta be some Texas players on this list. Nobody washes out more five stars than Texas.

Sheantreal Henderson was the Rivals #1 recruit his year. After changing his mind about 20 times where to go he ended up in Miami and didn’t accomplish anything there except getting into a car accident a few blocks from my house.

Perrilloux and Mustain are two I remember. Didn't Mustain end up doing alright at Arkansas?

Perrilloux, I remember his hype, never heard of him after he committed.

He got kicked off LSU and played for Jacksonville State in Alabama IIRC.
