I did this in the politics forum. I decided to just redo it here and have that one get burried. Mods can delete, join them here, or whatever.

I'm guessing this article only wants to go back a few year, however.....
Bob Devaney to Tom Osborne was a great hire.

If Randy Walker didn't pass away so early in his career there, maybe that might be true.

I am guessing they are leaving out coaches involved in scandals that resulted in the program receiving punishment. So, Jim Tressell and Urban Meyer are probably out. I still would have that on this list.

Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher should be on this list.
Hayden Fry and Kirk Ferentz should have cracked this list. It is better than 9 and 10 for sure.
I wonder if Bill O'Brien and James Franklin will count.
Barry Alvarez and Bret Bielema

Tressel to Meyer? Is an interim coach considered a coaching hire cause then I guess Tressel to Meyer wouldn't qualify

The only reason I can think of why they didn't make it is how Tressel left. But I agree that it should be up there on the list

I know Coker won a MNC but I don't know that Miami fans really look on him as a great.

I'd have any combination of their previous four HC's higher on the list

Shula to Saban.

Really department store mannequin to Saban should be an acceptable answer. Average them out and still better than most of these other schlubbs.
