Had about a 15 foot branch from my neighbor's maple tree 100 yards away impaled in my front yard last night. Neighbor's fences are completely leveled.

My daughter lives 1/2 mile away from the heavily tornado damaged area in Bellevue. She has to replace an expensive play set for the kids,fencing, and roof/ceiling water damage. She said the basement floor drain made a sucking noise as the storm rolled through. My daughter's flower planters disappeared but the plants and soil remained still shaped like the planters. The latest I hear is that some homes look like they have minor damage but were shifted off of their foundations and are condemned. The Papio Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant was leveled so the City of Omaha will have to shell out Millions of dollars on rebuilding it. So many folks came to volunteer the hauling of trees and other clean up duties. Others brought cases of water and food for the volunteers and families directly impacted. The man that maintains the field where LSU is practicing baseball also is personally dealing with storm damage. I would have posted sooner but the Mrs. and I were out of state. The community was lucky there were no deaths.

Was out at one of the fishing holes this morning and came upon a large sized trampoline that was in the lake, blown in from the neighborhood nearby. Also saw a new home being built about 150 yards from shore and the entire deck was ripped off from the storm along with other collateral damage.

The shortest distance that trampoline could have traveled was at least 200 yards. Those things become sails if they're not staked down during storms.

Golf ball sized hail took a dump on my car last night. Cracked my windshield in multiple places and the body of my car looks as bad as the cellulite on Kim Kardashian's ass.

I lucked out with tiny hail last night. I have hail damage on my 98 Chevy truck, never claimed but it still has full coverage still. Will be replacing body panels and repairing rocker and door rust next year. Since my truck sits outside, I just never worried about fixing it.

Hey guys. Sorry to jump on your board, but I just wanted to tell you that driving through Nebraska the last 2 days left me in awe with that hot weather and the friggin severe lightning storm off of I 80. I remember going through North Platte and heading through Lincoln. The storm scared the shits out of me. I was in a big RV coming home from Yellowstone and the Tetons.
On a very sad note, I unfortunately witnessed a cyclist's life end as he collided with a semi. I won't even give details as you all know that the speed limit was 75-80 in the York area. I was and still am sick to my stomach. I can still see in my mind the motorcycle passed me on the right side and I was passing the semi and trying to get back in the slow left lane, but he was in my blind spot. However, it didn't happen there as he did it again a mile up the road and only that time was his last. This is still bothering me. What blows my mind is that 5 motorcyclistd have been killed in the state of Nebraska in the last 3 days I believe? Anyway, I enjoyed finally travelling through your state folks.
