Agreed. Adams is better than Bourjos at literally everything. He has a better glove, he's much faster and is a far better hitter. I liked Adams coming off the bench. I roll my eyes when Bourjos pinch hits.

Acuna has started to heat up in AAA, and if we call up Jose Bautista before Acuna, I'm gonna be pissed.

Bautista is a hasbeen bitch that I have zero interest in having on this team.

I don't want hi taking time away from Camargo or Flaherty at third, and even though Bautista has more power, I'd still rather have Markakis in right field for consistency with the bat and defense. Only thing Bautista can be useful for is a pinch hit option and as a DH against AL teams.

12-8 so far against a TOUGH schedule with an awful BP and Playing a 4 game series against the Reds next, anything less than 3 out of 4 is a dissapointment in this series.

Bourjos will be gone when Acuna comes up.

And if Bautista can still play and provide some value that's fine, but he shouldn't be called up before Acuna, especially since we were all ready to kill him less than a year ago.

The team has good chemistry right now, everyone is playing hard, and I worry that a guy like Bautista can fuck something like that up, and if he does, he's not Bryce Harper, so his production wouldn't make up for it.

Yeah I don't see Bautista being very useful anymore. Even his plate discipline isn't what it was a few years ago as his strikeout rate has risen from 15.9% in 2015 to 24.8% in 2017 while his swinging strike rate rose dramatically (7.2% in 2016, 10.9% in 2017). His walks also dipped last year, though 12.7% is still pretty good. He's always been a low BABIP guy (career .264, which is amazingly low), so it's hard to see him really improving a lot on his .239 BABIP. And even the power is probably declining, his hard contact rate last year (31.4%) was his lowest since 2009 and well below anything he had from 2010-16 (his lowest over that span was 34.7%) and his soft contact rate has gone from 17.1% in 2015 to 21.7% in 2017. His projectons aren't very optimistic either (Steamer projects a 96 wRC+).

That, and it might sound dumb, but given that the entire team and fan base was ready to kill him less than a year ago, I worry about a guy like that messing with the team chemistry, which this season has been the best it has been since Chipper, Tim Hudson and Brian McCann were on the team.
