Braves at Tigers on Fox Sports right now. 1-2-3 inning in the top of the first for the Braves. Teheran taking the mound today. Most of the starters are in the lineup today

Julio looked good in the first, gave up 1 hit on a blooper pop up that was dropped on a diving attempt from Kemp...tough play

I really like MLB Network but they're starting to turn into ESPN in terms of actual game coverage. It's the same teams over and over. And I get you want to play to what's going to bring ratings but seeing the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs over and over again gets old.

I love MLB Network, but it pisses me off when there's a game between two well out of market teams on nights the Braves are off, and the game is still blacked out.

Braves vs Mets Spring Training is live on Fox Sports as we speak.

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the second.

So what's the outlook this year? It has to be better than that shit show that was forced on us last year.

So this Phillips guy is gonna get the start @ 2nd over Peterson? I don't know about starting a 35 year old in the twilight of his career over a solid 25 year old with lots of upside.

Phillips has had a very solid career, but he's in the twilight of it. But we got him for nothing, and Cincinnati is paying the vast majority of his salary, might as well see if he can find some former glory, and regardless, he's an upgrade with the glove.

Peterson's future with the team is gonna be an Omar Infante type super utility man that can play anywhere in the infield or outfield. Phillips is just a bridge to Ozzie Albies, who will be up at some point this season and is the 10th ranked prospect in the Majors.

Should be better on offense than we were a year ago, think closer to August/September/October Braves offense. Maybe not as potent because I think they played over their heads.

Starting pitching should be slightly better with Colon in place, I don't care for the RA Dickey signing. But these guys are just placeholders till some of the kids figure it out in the minors. And we should have a solid BP from what I understand.

I'll say this, I understand the FO is trying to prevent a disaster like the previous 2 seasons but we need to see more of these kids coming up and playing MLB competition. No, we don't to rush them, but at some point we need to take the training wheels off and see what these kids can do because they are, after all, the future of the organization. I'd like to see some of the pitching prospects up by mid year to replace Dickey and maybe Colon, although I love that guy! And get Albies and Ruiz up and start platooning them so they get some experience before taking over full time.

I like the RA Dickey signing just for the fact that he's pitching in front of Folty. Going from a knuckleball to upper 90's mike make for a big season from Folty.

And I'm not sure how I feel about carrying a 4 man bench and an 8 man bullpen. Might be fine if we were an AL team, but when one guy is the backup catcher, there's gonna be games where we're gonna miss that extra pinch hit option.
