The two stroke penalty would be the right ruling if it didn't fall in the face of over a hundred years of precedent. If it means the PGA is going to start easing up on their stupid rules, that is a good thing, but it's an auspicious beginning to save your biggest star at your biggest tourney. And that's if it's a beginning at all.
