NFLN currently has him as the 2nd best WR. I think he is an amazing player, but that size is worrying. Are you willing to spend a top 15 pick on a slot guy? Even a first rounder on a slot guy? I mean they take 75% percent of the snaps, but if you don't have a #1 Im thinking you want to address that need first.

From what little I've seen I'd put him in the 2nd round.

I think he is somewhere in between Golden Tate and Jarvis Landry but maybe not as good as either.

Note...CINCY took a small, fast WR top 10...John Ross I think his name is...they're still trying to record his 1st reception I believe.

Three words...Don't Do It!

Christian Kirk: 5'11, 201 lbs
Antonio Brown: 5'10, 181 lbs
Odell Beckham Jr: 5'11, 198 lbs

Just sayin'.....size isn't everything, and doesn't make you a slot by default either.

He ran in the 4.4s, is a solid route runner and has good quickness. He's also very strong (20 reps) and this appears to be a pretty shallow WR draft. He's a mid-late 1st rounder IMO (probably an early 2nd in a stronger draft).

Golden Tate is a perfect comp for Kirk. I've watched I think every game he has played. Granted, he did better when he was treated like a #2 and not constantly double teamed. He had a way of disappearing for entire games. A lot of that is gameplanning by defenses. But he's not a top 15 IMO. To be there you need to be able to beat a double team and go get the ball.

I think he would excel on a team with a very accurate deep ball thrower who already has a legit #1 WR. Teams that if he lands with I think would make him an all-pro:
Atlanta
TPA (aggie #1 and #2!)
KC- I think
LAR
PIT

That's about all I can think of right now.

Brown is one of the fastest guys on the field every sunday and OBJ isn't far behind. I don't think Kirk has that kind of quickness.

Though I agree that he's probably gone somewhere in the first round.

How was the QB play at A&M?

The only problem I have with the Golden Tate comparison is that Kirk's college numbers don't really pan out. Watching footage of Kirk I saw a lot of balls thrown behind him, at his feet, way past him, etc. There wasn't the kind of rapport you'd like to see from a top 50 prospect with his QB and it makes me wonder if A&M might have had some issues offensively.

I think if you look at his upside, its Golden Tate. Kirk was a top recruit out of HS and his combine was legit.

Kirk will probably go in the 2nd round... some teams have him graded into the 3rd round... I'd be surprised if anyone spent a late 1st on him. That said, he put up a good 40 time and interviewed really well apparently, so someone could take a flier on him late 1st since those teams look for good value picks. He does bring a kick/punt return to his game as well so that increases his value. Kelly Mond certainly didn't do him many favors (watched a little bit of Aggies).

Golden Tate was a late 2nd pick, but that class was essentially 1.5 drafts combined given it was the year before the CBA. Basically every Junior getting hyped declared, so there's a good chance Tate would've gone early 2nd if it'd been a normal year.

I think Tate comparisons are fair to some degree. Tate was always decent top end speed but never Brown/Baldwin/OBJ quickness.

Kirk: 4.47
Brown: 4.47
Odell: 4.43

Pretty comparable.

This draft definitely isn't WR heavy and might actually be the weakest WR class in quite some time. With that said, someone will take Kirk in the first round. He's a speedy dude, kinda reminds me of Cooper Kupp. He shouldn't be taken in the first round, but he probably will be.

A&M went through 3 uninspiring QBs last year from what I can tell...

Not very good, no one threw to him that will get drafted.

Yup, injuries to our planned starter put a true freshman in there.

Kirk is kind of flying under the radar in this draft IMO. He is not nearly as talented as ODB but I see some similarities in their game for sure. People claimed he would not time well, but we timed pretty well. He is more quick than fast overall though.

People are classifying Kirk as a slot, but he thinks of himself as an outside receiver. All smaller guys get stereotyped into the slot at first.
