Of course you'd think that.
Gene Smith isn't a Top 5 coach.

I'm sure the university feels the same.

It is essentially a business as well.

Who is more replaceable? Gene Smith or Urban Meyer? EASY answer.

Right or Wrong.

Like I said I personally don't think anyone should get fired. But if that's what it comes down to, you can damn well bet that is what will happen.

I guess they just don't have my hate for ohio state. I want a pound of flesh from ohio state and Suburban. If y'all are dumb enough to fire him unjustly, I'd hire him (if I had the power) and take two pounds of flesh from ohio state. It's a shame Tressel got away.
I would almost have to laugh if we ever saw michigan fire Harbaugh in order to hire Urban. 90% of your state would be on suicide watch.

Nope, just about the 20% that are Michigan State fans

*She called 911 (66) times in 90 days.

*She got pulled over 3 times for DUI. On each time they let her off and escorted her home.

*Each time she began crying and stated Zach was chasing her and she was afraid. Each time Zach was at practice.

Crazy kunt.

bingo.

the sports media world jumped and convicted Urb way too soon. this bitch has serious credibility issues, and the word I'm getting is that the university is getting all their ducks in arow to defend the coach. He did nothing wrong. the haters out there just want a "reason" to take down this coach and program.....

sure hope she realizes she's going to have to relocate out of state for doing what she's doing......

the fucking social media outrage is pure BS......

He's just like the majority of michigan fans and fans of other fanbases that OSU routinely destroys - they just want a pound of flesh and to see a greater program than their's get hurt. They feign outrage and morality when in all honesty if Urban was coaching Tulane, they couldn't give a shit less.

And on the other side of the spectrum you're all things protect Urban Meyer.

"Damn that fuckin' bitch..Who do we make the fall guy here for not doing what Urbs could have done himself? Oh I know, let's pin the entire thing on the AD". - buckeye fan

It's also covered under university policy.

If it were all about the popo and the courts, there would be no investigating committee formed by the trustees.
That committee was formed to try to let the furor die down. That committee hiring an outside law firm to investigate is to make it look "independent". People here were screaming "How independent will it be if there are 3 trustees on it?

These folks will have no subpoena power. There is no way they will get a FOIA request reply from the police in 2 weeks. I doubt seriously that the alleged victim will cooperate in any way. Zach Smith may cooperate, but he doesn't have to. Based on what he has said publicly, it exonerates both Gene and Urban.

All they can do is try their best to find out what Urban knew, what he did with the information, and if it in any way violated either his contract or university policy in place at the time. If it is documented, it is pretty open and shut. If they fire him when he followed his contract and university policy, they will probably have to pay out his entire contract (Millions of $$). If it is all hearsay, they may have a different take.

They are biding their time to make sure the other shoe doesn't drop. As long has nothing comes out that is damning of Urban or Gene, the worst that may happen is a suspension for being a brain dead moron at B1G media days.

I want Gene fired because he sucks, not because of anything to do with this. I still can't believe he self-imposed a bowl ban. It may have cost the Buckeyes a shot at the NC vs ND in 2012.

You do realize the 911 calls and 3 DUIs started on a blog from 247 Bucknuts right? I’m still waiting on a better source than:

I was forwarded this text by a buddy who got this text from a clued-in source... TIFWIW, like how the text starts, but if true, yes please...

***Not sure if this is all 100% accurate but...

From a coworker who is osu alumni and connected there still

This Is Somewhat Refreshing

And again I ask this question....Who had more reason to keep Zack Smith employed, Gene Smith or Urbs?

It's a very simple question. Not sure why nobody will answer it.

Who cares would be the answer. It is what it is now.

Do you really think firing him would have magically stopped him from beating woman all of a sudden?

So there we have it. The committee is a fraud. LOL

Why not, according to many here, all committees are frauds, especially those that pick playoffs

I don't like Urban at all, but there is no doubt he is a better recruiter and coach than Harbaugh. Personally, I would stick with Harbaugh if given the choice between them, simply because I'd be scared of some skeleton in Meyer's closet could hurt the program down the road, but again, there is no doubt who the superior coach is between them...and it isn't even close.

If Meyer goes down, it would be a HUGE victory for Michigan on the field and off the field....until OSU lands another big time coach...which they seem to always do. Even Cooper won a TON of games for them, so it has been a while since they've had a coach who had a series of crappy seasons in a row.

Stoops was brought up which made me puke in my mouth a little. I think they'd go all in on Matt Campbell. He's in the mold - Ohio born, coached small school in the state, moved up quickly.
