The Drumbeat is getting louder.
People seem to be going "off the rails" with their talking points.
The more we know, the worse it gets.

And the media doesn't look to be happy about it either.

Heat ratchets up as Urban Meyer, Zach Smith try to pass the buck in confounding media tour

The more we know about the Zach Smith scandal, the less we know

I'm just trying to catch up on all of it myself, but it doesn't look good for Ohio State fans.
In today's supercharged atmosphere about such things, it's hard to believe that this ends up well.

I guess we can all just sit back and point fingers and shit.

Post anymore updates here.
I need to catch up.

Originally I thought that Urban was done... then I started thinking that he might just make it... now not so much.

I'm surprised the Project Veritas video with former Florida players hasn't made bigger rounds yet.

RIP?

Ohio State, 1923-24

Ninety-one seasons.
Thirteen head coaches.

Ohio State last posted consecutive losing seasons under John Wilce (photo) in 1923 and 1924, going 3-4-1 and 2-3-3.

In the 91 seasons since then, the Buckeyes have seen losing records in:

• 1943 (3-6)
• 1947 (2-6-1)
• 1959 (3-5-1)
• 1966 (4-5)
• 1988 (4-6-1)
• 2011 (6-7)

That's six losing years, with three more .500 seasons. That means the last 91 seasons have included 82 winning seasons for Ohio State.

I think we'll be fine

It's the same result Brett McMurphy will experience with his lies. His wagon is starting to tip over.

What lies? He has literal text messages and emails that he has shown. He has gone on national television and clearly stated that he does NOT have any direct evidence that states Urban clearly knew. From what I have seen and read, McMurphy seems to be about as objective as possible and that is a good thing.

My first impression was "how in the world could he be held accountable for such a thing".

Now, it looks to be much deeper than I thought.
I don't know what will happen, but it doesn't look good at all.

I hope so, but the last time something like this happened it wasn't pretty.
You guys got extremely lucky to get Meyer. Might not turn out that way this time.

Fickell was an interim coach

We'll have a decent selection to pick from after this season I'm sure

This can't have a very good look if it lingers into the season.
Can they have this wrapped up, one way or another, before kickoff.???

Everybody around Meyer knew of the 2015 incident, Meyer did nothing about the 2015 incident and Meyer's lawyer put pressure on Courtney Smith to drop the 2009 allegations. All lies.

I personally don't really agree with holding a Head Coach responsible for every single thing that surrounds a football program.

Ohio State doesn't need Meyer to beat the snot out Nebraska but he will be bitch slapping Nebraska for a long time. (no pun intended )

This has been my question all along. If it is "nothing" and Smith is innocent, he should still be on the Ohio State coaching staff.

"If you felt the 2009 battery allegation against your former wide receivers coach “wasn’t actually what happened” and didn’t know about a 2015 incident that either did or didn’t produce an arrest (Brett McMurphy reports the police paperwork has changed) and have had no comment yet about Courtney Smith’s many other police complaints against Zach Smith, then why’d you fire him on July 23, a month before kickoff?"

That does seem to be kinda weird.
