All of them.

I"m a little frustrated. Just checked to see the local games in my area and it is not a good lineup. I get the Chargers/Giants game. So 2 0-4 teams battling it out. Only good thing about that one is getting a chance to watch the Giants since we play them next week. Then it is the AZ/Philly game. Another that I just don't have a lot of interest in. Late game obviously being the Cowboys/Packers will be decent and of course Chiefs/Texans on Sunday night so those will be ok. Just was hoping to watch the Baltimore/Oakland game. Hearing that Carr might try to go tomorrow.

So, Shane Ray should be back after the bye. I don't know what's going on with Kerr. I've heard that he should be ready to go as well. What do we do with DeMarcus? Leave him in OLB roto or put him on the line? Does he get activated on game day?

IMO Walker will not be inactive once Ray returns (and maybe before). He may be a store away player. First muscle he pulls he could go on IR and hope he puts it together next year.

We appear lost what we want to do with him. I liked him at FSU (didn't love, but liked him) but I am sitting here not being help to think if we could do that all over would we have gone another route? Just not sure it is a pick we needed to make.

I've got to think that the Broncos saw him as a DE, but they wanted to give him time to put some good weight on. Maybe as a way of moving away from depending on Gotsis to break through and contribute. I am seeing him listed around 275. I think he's just too big to have the body control to be an impact player at OLB for us.

I just checked the roster on the Denver Broncos official site and they have him listed as a DE at 280 pounds.

Yeah- I'd imagine the thought process was a DE depth and compete with Gostis. A guy you can use at OLB if needed, but a bit big for OLB. Great motor. Productive in college. Gostis stepped up this year... Wolfe is Wolfe, Kerr is just now getting healthy and Walker appears to be active mostly because we have been banged up along the DL.

He is definitely a tweener when it comes to being either an OLB or a DE. Part of the reason I hated the pick is I just didn't think he was a great fit with this defense. I also struggle to see him having the frame to put on say the 20 lbs. possibly needed to play inside and hold up as a starter.

And I agree with DC that once Shane Ray comes back good chance they figure out some way for Walker to go on IR. Give him a year to just go hang out in the weight room and hope he can come back like we saw with Gotsis and be a whole new player. And I will say it is very nice for the Broncos that they have 2 possible impact players coming back midway through the season like Ray and hopefully Butt. Give them a nice boost to both sides of the field.

Take a look at who we have at the position:

99 Gotsis, Adam DE 6-4 287 25 2 Georgia Tech
96 Harris, Shelby DE 6-2 290 26 3 Illinois State
92 Kerr, Zach DE 6-2 334 27 4 Delaware
57 Walker, DeMarcus DE 6-4 280 23 R Florida State
95 Wolfe, Derek DE 6-5 285 27 6 Cincinnati

I don't know how accurate those weights are. If they are accurate then I think Walker is easily within striking distance of physically fitting in with our better DE's: Wolfe and Gotsis. Even Harris. Give Walker some playing time this year and then give him an NFL off season. Could have something there. Kerr looks like a guy you put in there on running downs and maybe Walker can be a guy that you put in there on passing downs. In relief of our impact guys.

Here's a pic of him from the Charger game:

defensive-end-demarcus-walker-of-the-denver-broncos-prepares-to-rush-picture-id851438972

His build reminds me of Demarcus Ware but he's already 22 pounds heavier. Like I said, I don't know how accurate those roster weights are, but if they are then we're talking about adding 5 pounds and he's right there with Wolfe and Gotsis.

I haven't been on top of it but last I checked we have both Pekos on the active roster as well as the ex-Seahawk guy for DT. We also have a DT on the Practice Squad that has shown some promise. So do we keep a 334 pound DE like Kerr on the active roster to play DT on passing downs? Or do we go with who we have at DT and slip Walker in at DE? Or do we push little Peko back to the Practice Squad and keep both Kerr and Walker active? There are a few options here and I hope they are figuring this out during the bye week.

BTW: Shane Ray comes back after the bye and I'm hoping that they put Paxton Lynch on IR to make room. Roll with Siemian and Oz because Pax can't run this Offense anyway.

Well last I knew Gotsis and Wolfe for sure were closer to 300 lbs. this year than the listed weights there. And it isn't just about weight but the ability to anchor in the run game. That was Walker's biggest issue in college is that he would get blown off the LOS even by TE's that were smaller than him. He just struggles to know how to hold the POC and then know how to shed a blocker to make a play. He was my least favorite pick in the draft and I think so far he has played exactly like that.

My guess is little Peko goes back to the Practice Squad. Most likely the team can keep him available if an injury happens.

I think he's competing with the ex-Seahawk for a spot on the roster, and I think he loses that competition partly because we should be able to stash him on the PS.

Can you link the source stating Gotsis/Wolfe were at 300 pounds? I haven't seen that. I have not been impressed with Walker at OLB. At all. Not even a little bit. I think he's too big to play there, and that he has too much mass to be able to get into position on a consistent basis. But I do think he has the potential to be an impact player for us at DE. We've been giving him reps and that's fine. We've been banged up and missing people. But now Kerr is back and Shane Ray should be back. I don't think there's a spot for him on the game day roster now. I'd like to see him practice at DE from here on out. Let our coaches develop him and let him get in an NFL off season. Only activate him if we get too thin at DE.

Take it as you will but I talked w/ my team source and he told me Wolfe is 290-300 depending on the week and Gotsis is from 300-310

Here is an article showing that Gotsis weighed in at 306 lbs. back in June. Players typically lose weight as the season progresses but the article also talks about him being 20 lbs. heavier than when he entered the NFL.

Adam Gotsis' growth: A 6-second play provides glimpse of Broncos DE's growth

This article is Wolfe talking about his weight and how he is up between 305-310 lbs. this year.

Derek Wolfe plans to speak up more in 2017

I think there can be a role for Walker with this team. When they go to a pass rush set he can be that inside force that can get some pressure. There is definitely value in a pass rushing inside man. I just personally would not have used a 2nd round pick on a player that is more of a specialist.

I would also say just looking at his body type I have a hard time seeing him add more than 10 lbs. without sacrificing speed. That is the hard part for players is to figure out the balance of weight to that of explosion. Gotsis to me is the perfect mold at least body type of what you are looking for in the 3-4 DE types. He is tall, strong base, and has a quick first step to be able to win right away. He is to me a pretty good clone of Wolfe. Not as technical as Wolfe but is showing he could end up being the better player of the two if he can stay healthy. I worry he will be the type that has those lingering injury issues.
