After an amazing 2015 class it only makes sense 2016's draft would blow.

So far here are my top 10 rookies in a very underwhelming class: Not including (Embiid or Saric)

1) Malcolm Brogdon
2) Isaiah Whitehead
3) Buddy Hield
4) Marquese Chriss
5) Domantas Sabonis
6) Jamal Murray
7) Brandon Ingram
8) Pascal Siakam
9) Jaylen Brown
10) Kay Felder

Ben Simmons will now almost surely be the best rookie in this class once he returns from injury, if not... this class might be one of the worst ever.

It was not a draft like 2017 will be. All players will give value, you still never know about some who are in a team with log jams in the roster...............but I think Sabonis is better than expected.

Wasn't this exactly what was expected leading up to the draft? We knew from the last pick of the 2015 draft that everyone was looking to the 2017 draft.

I have a feeling by the end of the year Caris Levert will definitely jump up to the top 10.

He's finally gotten healthy and is getting really decent run right now for the Nets. I'd say that as he gets more comfortable his numbers will jump up. Plus he's on the Nets so he's going to get a lot of opportunity.

It won't be this year, but I have a good feeling Dejounte Murray is going to be a real steal of this draft.

Oh and I've heard good things about the Celtics pick Yabusele. When he comes over I think he'll be a real quality player too.

This draft class overall was basically a swing and miss draft. Could go down as one of the worst from an overall talent perspective if a few guys don't pan out.

Next year is the year to have a pick, and Miami is looking like they could be first in line.

Yep and who knows what happens at the deadline. Good chance they get another pick as well

have you ever heard of Patrick McCaw? or did you just make this list on the assumption that he is #1?

God, you really are that dense huh?

McCaw obviously was left off the list because he's transcended rookie status because he's considered a 10 year vet already by his teammates. So he doesn't qualify for the list.

The Dancing Bear looks like a solid pick. A poor mans Draymond Green maybe. Stats look great and he is a physical stud but gotta see him defend in the NBA

Well, far too early to label anybody a bust.

I was on record saying that Brogdon would end up being a steal though. The dude is awesome. He will never be a star, but he will have a 10+ year career and be a fantastic role player.

I do expect Brogdon to have a great career, but I also expect quite a few names listed above to pass him by at some point. Brogdon was by far the most NBA ready rookie.

Agree on Murray. Think guys like him, McCaw, Bender and a few others are so raw with tons of talent and will take years to develop before we really judge them.

People were much higher on Ingram, Dunn, Murray, Hield, etc. The top 10 has been very disappointing.

Same with the Warriors other first round pick Damian Jones. Looks like he could be a nice player, but needs a lot of work.

Anyone know what's going on with Skal Labissiere?

Also,

Keep in mind that if we made a similar list at this time last season, Booker and Russell had not really had their breakouts yet. It would of been Townes and Porzingis alone at the top. I still think Mudiay is the second coming of Michael Carter-WIlliams. Just don't get the hype on him.

I like Mudiay more than MCW because of his body type. His profile could be like a Baron Davis if he could consistently find a way to use his big build to his advantage. He's really strong for a PG and could really use a post game to his advantage if he worked on that. MCW is still rail thin. Mudiay, imo, could become good if he learns to use his body more in getting to the basket and working around the rim.
