whoever comes out of that series will have to consider the rain delay from game one a blessing because they'll be set up to pitch their ace game 1. If they'd pitched game 1 then 4 or 5 they wouldn't have been able to go 1,4,7 like they could in the ALCS.

Not sure who to pull for. I don't think NY has the pitching to keep Texas contained enough games and would hate to have to play in comerica park, but I hate the yankees.

To many strange things happen in Yankee stadium that benefits the Yankees. I think it will be Detroit anyway. Detroit is the more complete club. Both teams represent a great challenge. If the Rangers can beat their current foe and get to meet one of those two teams I do believe they can meet that challenge as well regardless of who they play.

Rangers have a history of playing tough against the elite pitchers and struggling against the so so guys. In the playoffs, you don't get to chose your opponents. You just have to go out and beat the best which is the way it is supposed to be.

I was thinking the same thing man. That kind of sucks, but it doesn't matter. We'll be at home against Verlander or on the road against a struggling Sabathia. Verlander didn't look all that sharp either. However, none of that really matters. We get to set our rotation and rest before the next series.

If the Yankees win what I want to see if CC coming in to pitch at some point during game 5 like Holland did today. I mean they are going to do whatever they can to advance even if that means pitching CC in relief.

He might... It would be his day to throw between starts anyways... so why not have it be during the game? Same could be said for Verlander...

If it isn't a crushing, even if it doesn't go 30 innings they could still use Verlander. I hope DET wins, but does so by just one run. That one run can be after 30 innings, or 9...as long as verlander gets burned up so we only see him 2x in the ALCS.
