1 HR in 43 games with the Mariners. He's still hitting for AVG but they have to be disappointed with his lack of power so far. He's going to have to go on a HR tear sooner or later if he wants to hit 25+ HR which is what he hit in his last 5 seasons in the Bronx.

He must hate baseball life but he is laughing to the bank. I said this before when he left the Yankees he would drop from being a superstar because he got paid and the fight wont be there. Plus throw in that he isn't on a winning team makes it worse. I said we wouldn't here much about him again. I haven't heard about him at all except when he came back to play the Yankees.

Big mistake to leave the Yankees, baseball wise. He went for the money.

Cano has struck out 5 times since May 1st.

He's not swinging at pitches off the plate anymore trying to be a hero, and pitchers give him almost nothing to drive since he's surrounded by garbage.

Whether he would be happier in NY is debatable. I'm betting he would be, but only he knows that.

I don't think he misses it at all. in Seattle is there really any pressure for him to produce like it was in NY? Does he has the media breathing down his neck every 5 seconds like in NY? He has his money and will continue to get his money... I highly doubt he cares that he is in Seattle compared to NY

His fantasy baseball value is shit now, I drafted him in the first round in two leagues, what a fucking dumb idea that was.

Most guys that go for the money end up in NY, so Cano definitely may be the first player to ever leave the Yankees and go for $ elsewhere.

I'm sure Cano had some idea what he was leaving and where he was going. He's likely made his peace with it. I suppose of the Yankees were the best team in baseball and headed to a WS he might get nostalgic, but they aren't.

Good thing they're in a division full of bad teams.

They can still make the playoffs and then all bets are off, anything can happen.

I mean he's still playing well and his avg is ridiculously good but it is a surprise as a yankees fan to look at Cano stats on May 20th and see him only with 1 HR.

He has missed 3 or 4 HRs by a combined foot.

Great players want to play in the tough environment. He only cared about the money and now he has to live in baseball hell and a crappy area. Who wants to live in seattle.

I think baseball wise he 100% misses the Yankees. He will be fine because of the money he got but he will never be superstar again.

Seattle is in a division full of bad teams? I know East Coast folks go to bed before the West Coast gets done partying and playing, but that's pretty ignorant. They are arguably the toughest division in baseball right now. All teams are .500 or above except the Astros, who are simply posing as a major league team and still almost as good as the Red Sox.

Yeah, the AL West isn't as feeble as it has been in years past.

yeah, the West is a lot better than it was a few years ago. And with the Astros farm system, they could end up being pretty good in a few years.

Still not sure what you mean by a "baseball mistake"? If you mean he went to one of the least hitter-friendly environments in baseball and his power stats will suffer....sure. If you mean he went somewhere that gives him less chance to get a ring...these aren't your Daddy's Yankees.

NY: 27-23
Sea: 25-25

They are in the same "ballpark" so to speak. If Tanaka gets hurt, NY is in BIG trouble.

Both. Also being well known and market out in NY destroys Seattle. I really haven't heard Cano's name once since he has been Seattle. (I don't count his 1st game back at NY because again it was in NY).

If u cant see that you are blind.

Baseball wise overall it was a BIG mistake.
