I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of tomatillos.

I love them, but you have to be VERY picky when you buy them. I was always told they should feel heavier than you'd expect for the size. If it feels light, put it back, it's dried out...

I've been using them in my chili for about 10 years.
I'd like to try them in other things, but I'm just not sure what to try them in.

Would you care to share the recipe for your chili? :suds:

Absolutely..But I will have to do it another time, as I'm a bit intoxicated and don't feel like typing that much at the moment...Haha!
It's a recipe I found in a book, but it's my favorite.

I hear ya, have had quite a few drinks here myself as well so whenever works for you :suds:

Sorry for the slow response, I had to make something to eat..After reading this thread I got hungry. lol

I guess you'd call the chili a Texas style.. tomatillos, sirlion and no beans. I'll post recipe next time I log on.

I think the parmigiano sprinkle stuff may have some in it. But it's one of those seasoning style sprinkle jars where you just open the jar and it has the holes in the plastic lids

The chicken was so good that i did not have one crumb of chicken left over.. i took 3 boneles skinless breast covered them with sweet baby rays barbecue sauce just enough to cover them on top..then wrapped 2-3 pieces of bacon all the way around them then baked them for 40 minutes @350.. sautéed some onion and mushrooms in a dab of butter and a couple splashes of soy sauce then put my oven on the broiler for about ten minutes to crisp the bacon pulled it out aded the onion and mushrooms and cheese on top turned the oven back down on 350 broiler on .. just watched it cook til the cheese was melted good and took it out

You can just shorten the bacon strip instead of wrapping them all the way around because the Bacon that's on the under side doesn't get crisp but i was lazy and just wrapped them .. it's really good to the point that my son asked when i was going to make it again
