Not sure, it must be talking about game time rankings cause I don't see any teams that were ranked in the top 10 they beat on the road in 97. They beat ranked Washington, Missouri, and aTm on the road but none of them finished top 10, and they beat a top 10 Ranked KSU but they were at home. And then in their bowl they destroyed top 10 ranked Tennessee but I wouldn't count a neutral site bowl win as a road victory.

Well, looking at the AP year rankings, Nebraska hasn't beaten an AP top 10 team away since 1995. In 1995 they beat 2 Top 10 teams, Colorado and Kansas.
In the interest of fairness, OU has beaten only one AP top 10 team in the past 25 years (1988-2013) and that was KSU in 2000.
