They are right there on the cusp, baby!

RGIII is the missing piece. This offense is going to explode. Garcon will catch 90 for 1500. Morgan will catch 60 for 800. Helu will runn for 1500.

THe defense is already sick nasty!

Skins 11-5, and will win at least one game in the playoffs!!!!

LOCK IT UP!!!!

Skins lost 4 games by less then 3 points last year. Having a QB finally will change that.
Skins also have a very respectable defense.

I think they go 10-6 and win at least 1 playoff game

Hail to the REDSKINS

I wouldn't mind it happening, but a rookie QB adding 6 wins could be a stretch. I think it really depends on how the Eagles and Giants play. Eagles were hot at the end of the year. The Giants were ok.

The OL is still bad. Helu was ok last year, not great. Not sure what to expect from Hightower.

Agreed. RGIII looks like a great pickup for now, but he is still a rookie. Cam Newton was said to have had a great rookie year, yet his team was still awful. I think the Redskins are still a year out from seeing any significant ROI.

East is still the Giants to lose. Skins and Dallas will be fighting for 3rd place. I have no idea what Philly will do, depends on if they can keep Vick upright.

So I wouldn't put it past the Skins to get hot and have a run at the East this year. It looks wide open right now. I could make a case for any of the four teams, just depends on who is hot at the right time. The Skins have the biggest obstacle, and that is a rookie QB. RG3 looks promising, but not many rookies come in and add a lot of wins. So, I see it this way:

Giants in 1st if they can replicate their second half energy from last year
Philly or Dallas in 2nd. Philly if Vick stays healthy and DJax gets his head straight with the new contract. Dallas if Dez can get his head straight and the Oline somehow holds up. The weapons are there, is the attitude?
Skins in last unless Dallas does their typical "expect to win" crap, Philly has injury issues, or the Giants rest on their laurels.

I think it's going to take at least 1 year for RGIII to get this team into the playoffs. Plus the Skins are in a division that's full of teams with a lot of talent. Their are two positives about this though.

1.Teams like the Cowboys & Eagles don't seem to live up to their hype.

2.The division usually beats up on each other. So 8-8 could possibly win the division again.

I don't think the Redskins will make the playoffs, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

It's definitely a competitive division. I feel comfortable in assuming that the Giants reach the nine win mark, but the Eagles and Cowboys are up in the air. The Redskins, in my opinion, are still in rebuild mode (or should be). I think it takes a year to pull it together.
