I think they were definitely playing with the timeline again. Rick had a bloody gut in one of the final scenes. MAYBE that was transfer from him carrying Carl, but it looked like too much blood for that. I think that was a post-war scene.

As for the “visions”, I took it as Rick trying to make sense of Carl’s decree. The final scene was kind of an “oh shit” realization for Rick. If he is going to honor Carl’s dying wish, this is what he will have to strive for.

Yeah....Rick did not look in good shape sitting against that tree on a hill....he appeared to possibly even be bleeding out......but......remember that the new guy, Siddiq is a doctor.

Yep... was waiting for someone to mention this very end scene with Rick bleeding against the tree. Carl saved Siddiq, the Doc, for a reason. That will be to patch up whatever wound that Rick has... looks pretty bad.

My take...decent episode.

I'm thinking that Rick was leaning on that tree hurt and having flash backs about burring Carl and what Carl was talking about, then all of a sudden realized that Negan was there and woke up. Sort of like a bad dream that will get him motivated to move. I also thought that during one of the last scene where Rick was older, Carl ran across the screen right in the beginning, before Judith came running in.... I could be wrong. Def think Rick is hurt in that last scene. Hand is all bloody like he was holding a wound.

it looks like Carl’s “visions” may only be Easter eggs to comics readers. With him dead and Maggie likely gone as well, they HAVE to abandone the Carl/Sophia/Lydia arc. No way that make any sense with anyone but Carl. So do they completely break from the comics post war? Will the time jump happen? Will the fair even take place?

As far as “bloody Rick”, my guess is that he was shot by Dwight with the “clean” bolt, and that is either just before or just after his fight with Negan.

I haven't watched the entire episode yet, but if ya'll are this confused about exactly what was goin' on, it doesn't bode well.

It explained more than it confused. Other than waiting for Carl to die (which was pretty well done btw) it was a decent episode imo.

I still don't get why Aaron and Enid need to go to Oceanside? Seems more that Tara had the connection not them

I thought this was a pretty decent episode, but if Simon was going to do what he did to the garbage people, it didn't really make a lot of sense for him to leave Jadis alive. Pretty cool move she pulled though. I'm glad the rest of the garbage people are gone and it seems like she will talk normally now that they are all gone whenever we see her again.

I think Aaron, Simon and hopefully Jadis are done this season.

GREAT episode. Probably the best since 5.1.

Now I am really interested in Jadis. Simon pointed out the helipad, so I suspect they will actually have some kind of reveal about the dump. Jadis talking normal at the end was awesome.

And I was kinda right...

The Garbage people are not the Whisperers, but Jadis is ABSOLUTEY Alpha.

The whole garbage people parts were the best of the episode. That was pretty gross!! :puke:

At least we don't have to listen to them anymore. Why they're the only group who forgot how to speak I can't figure out

They didn't forget how to, they simply chose to streamline their communication as much as possible.

Probably because you wanted to breathe as little as possible!

Anyway the episodes with them and saviors and of course the end were the most interesting of the night.
