So although the fans have a say in the vote for the starters of the All-Star game by stuffing the ballot boxes and continously hitting submit on the voting site, the vote by the players carries the most weight. When your peers say"hey you derserve this, we see it first hand" it means so much more than who's jersey is the big seller and the big city you play in.
2 Rockies were voted in correctly by the fans in Tulowitzki and C. Gonzalez. Tulo crushed any other vote getter at SS even after he went on the DL. There is a chance he will be back on the field prior to the ASG meaning he will play for the NL as well. Cargo finished 2nd in OF votes and deserved the votes. The fans snubbed the 2nd leading hitter in the NL and the player with the longest hit streak in baseball for 2013 by not giving enough votes for Cuddyer.
Well their peers saw things in a different way. Cargo finished with the highest amount of votes by his peers and Cuddyer locked up 3rd place with Carlos Beltran between them. That vote right there means alot to players. Good job boys. Represent Colorado well. Our 3-4-5 hitters!

That does say a lot, as you point out. And it's impressive for Cargo as well to be performing so well on the road. It will be great to see 3 Rockies in the all star game. I wonder who the NL will have start as the DH. It would be something if they chose Cuddyer and we could have 3 Rockies starting. But I'd also like it if Cuddyer were playing late and had a chance at a late AB with the game on the line.
