Any of you catch the premier of the new FX show tonight? I'd been waiting for awhile to see it and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be tuning in from now on.

It has potential....even if Samwise from LOTR is in it......lol....tho I suspect many of the characters in the pilot won't be around much longer anyway, except for the old guy w/ the cane sword. I'll give it another few episodes to see where it goes and hope it doesn't get too cliche..but I generally like Guillermo del Toro's work.

I never read the book trilogy, but I enjoyed the season premiere.

One of the slams against the books that I have heard about is that supposedly the master/head vampire wants to change all of mankind into vampires....which of course is stupid...by doing so, the vampires would be getting rid of their food source.

Any book readers confirm this?

Watched it last night and was impressed. Will watch a few more to see where it goes.

Samwise seemed out of place with the cast.

It was more interesting then Tyrant and a better premier than the Bridge that's for sure. I'll have to see where it goes before I can pass more judgement on it.

have not seen a full episode yet, I thought it was strange the name of the guy that got his skull squashed was Peter Bishop.

If anyone didnt get that peter bishop comment, that was the names of the guys on Fringe. Dont know if it tied the two together somehow or buried fringe to never returning.

I don't get why they forced that guy to blow his head off. What threat did he pose?

I think it was just to buy some more time and to temporarily deflect from them and their own agenda and placing it onto the airline CEO in creating his suicide by reason of guilt ?.....plus the guy knew too much apparently.

The thousands and thousands of rats fleeing was a creepy site and a tell tale sign of the looming ancient fury to come. Also that one survivor going to the fridge to drink that pan full of meat blood, and the marilyn manson dude seeing his "johnson" detach and drop into the toilet was weird.
