At this rate, the Reds will be a .505 team ... duh.
Looks like the policy of shuffling relief pitchers will continue.
I have rarely seen a pitching staff so fucked up over 3-plus years.

You said it. Not much I can add to that..

I can't tell you how disappointed in Reeds game Saturday. I thought he was ready to show what he has. I believe he can throw strikes, but he's afraid. So he nibbles at the corners.

I was pleased with Arroyo's game yesterday.. Not so much with the bullpen.

Garrett goes tonight. I'm sure all the scouts have some idea what he's going to be throwing by now. The Brewers have a lineup where just about every one in the lineup swings for the long ball.

Well, the second chunk of 18 is off to a rousing start.
Nothing like letting Manny Pina and Hernia Perez do what Eric Thames does ... single-handedly make a career out of hitting against the Reds.
Garrett evidently is still a rookie.

Brewers have our number. We can't do anything against them.

I've seen Reds killers before but Thames has got to be at the top of that list. Perez and Shaw, hell just about the rest of that team are all Reds killers. The Cubs Rizzo hits the Reds pretty well but he also hits well against everyone else.
I'm trying to think of some Reds killers in the past that really clobbered the Reds but not other teams but my mind is drawing a blank. I know there is a lot

Bill Hall is a famous Reds killer
Rickie Weeks as well, both ex-Brewers.
Reds don't face the other guys enough to really tell. Lucas Duda of the Mets is one, I think.

The Braves back in the 90's had some guys that worked us over. When I was younger I used to keep track of these guys , but that was when games meant more, when a loss could put the Reds in 2nd place at the end of the year instead of 1st. but those days are a long ways off

Ron Cey killed the Reds in the 70's.
Bobby Bonilla did his share of damage in the late 80's and into the 90's.
Probably the biggest Reds killer I remember was Lance Berkman with any team he played for.

New day, new arm in the bullpen. Well not new, it's his third time around already. But nonetheless, Barrest Astin is the flavor of the day.

I can see why the Reds like the arm of Ariel Hernandez. Hitting 100 MPH with the fastball and a nasty hard slurve was impressive. We'll see if he can maintain a semblance of command next time he's called up. It's been a major problem for him prior to hooking up with the Reds.

Either way, the Brewers are glad they sent him down.

The Brewers seem to have somebody stealing signals.
Wait ... no, that was in Cincy. Not sure what ignorance is allowing this to happen.

Last nights game had to be the worst game of the season. it was so bad Both teams took all there star players out after the 6th inning.
I was hoping if Feldman could keep it close, and the Reds could get to they're bullpen, they might have a chance. That went out the window when Feldman walked they're pitcher with 2 outs in the 5th.

Todays game should be a real hoot with Davis pitching.

this team is slowly bleeding to death.
I have high hopes for something but I guess I'm lucky I have other things to do today.

I hate to be that guy but does anyone think they might wanna hand Thames a cup and tell him to go make a tinkle. Damn...how does a guy who bounces around from team to team go to Korea for a couple of years and come back and dominate like he has all of the sudden? Just doesn't seem possible.

I was thinking that also, but for the sake of me not having sour grapes. I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt.
One thing is, that he has only hit 3 home runs against other teams.. Perez has only had 4 base hits against other teams. I have to agree with Johns, they may be stealing the Reds signs. Or someone in Cincinnati said something about their mothers.
The one thing that kind of pisses me off a little, Is that little dance they do while going around third base. Some would say that's just them having fun to me its showing the other team up . but that's just me. I haven't noticed any other teams that do that. I can understand that if it was a game winner or a hit to tie the game , but they are up 8- 0 or something, and do that dance.
Another thing that stuck in my crawl a little was when that relief about took Cozarts head off on a 0-3 count. I find that hard to believe that, the pitch just got away from him. Where is Bob Gibson when you need him. LOL
I wouldn't want to see the Reds in a brawl with the Brewers. Thames could take out half the team by himself.
To the Brewers fans that may be reading this, don't get angry. We just don't like getting are ass kicked and I'm eating sour grapes...

No need to worry Mr. Eburg, I'm not sure Reds' fans even read our board.

The Reds keep optioning relievers between AAA and the big club. The callups have done a nice job overall.

Here's a crazy idea.....
How about optioning out the pitchers that are actually giving up all the runs instead.

Stephenson would be a start, Then right after that Rookie Davis who I'm not sure what Price see's in this guy that makes him think he is major league ready.
They keep bringing these guys up, and hope they can magically get someone out. At least Arroyo, Feldman, and Aldeman can get through 5 innings with out being down 10 runs Garrett has gotten the job done so far. And maybe Reed, but you just can't continue to run kids out there expecting them to pitch when they are not ready.
