Darin Ruf got a chance to start at first base in Korea. He showed his true talent.
With 6 games remaining in their season Ruf can add to his stats.
Batting average--.317--Home runs 31--RBI 124--Doubles- 38--Runs scored-90-on base percentage-400
Ops-976. All this in just 511 at bats. Korea will want him back. But the money is better in the states.
Maybe he will do a walk on in spring training somewhere. Either way, I am happy for him!

KBL isn't the MLB. It's not AAA for that matter. Hitters league, defense is terrible.

What are non-MLB associated baseball league talent equivalents? at Nationals Arm Race

Completely unexpected that Ruf owned the equivalent of high-A pitching.

Ruff had his shot. You can either hit when you need to, or you can't. If you can't, then you suck.

Thames had great numbers in Korea. Proof that the pitching there is sub par. His power numbers at the
MLB level are impressive. So some of his stats do translate. Ruf has the same advantage in Korea.
I get all that. I am just glad that he can earn a living in Korea after the crappy way Amaro handled him.
