I read semi-recently, the idea for him is to live through this season, then in 2019 he can be optioned down to AA and learn the art of hitting.

Yea it seems obvious that they’ve already “punted” on 2019 as well.

It’s all about assembling young talent, getting rid of older players, and getting to the new ballpark at this point.

ABD went 5.1 and had 1 W and 5 K......Leclerc went 1.2 with the same......When Lec throws the ball close to the plate, he's tough....Really tough.......and what a terrific 5.1 from ABD.

I say again....everyone is trade-able. But............he's only 27, but I don't know his contract situation......I haven't quite punted on him being a semi-productive 3rd/4th starter.......After all, someone's gotta take the mound every day and with the high hopes of completing 5/6 innings.
