and they're off at this year's final major. Last week's winner Justin Thomas is off to a quick start, leading at -3 through 7. Tiger is +3 through 7 headed for a MC unless he turns that around fast.

Here we go. Lots of birdies being made.

I’ve played Bellerive and it used to be long but now..

I guess as a par 70 it’s not bad tho

I believe you can't if the course does not allow them but I don't think it was ever a tour rule.
Years back the golf world soured on metal spikes but the tour never banned them.

I only switched because I busted my ass going down a set of stairs.

Koepka letting everyone know he's here to stay. He might just run away with this one... and Tiger letting everyone know that he's still Tiger Woods.

It seems like Koepka isn't getting his due. I was a bit skeptical myself, but he's legit. Given his position, if he plays his game, the tournament is over. A lot of big names on the leaderboard, but a lot of those guys I don't know if I can trust them.

I think we might see 1 or 2 guys in that leaderboard at -8 or better shoot 65/64 today. I think -14 wins, maybe -15

The CBS commentators were speculating why Koepka has not gotten that much recognition.
Think about that ...they control the cameras and actually ask that question.

And it gets better, Nick Faldo blames Koepka and makes a comment that he should do more on social media.

You can't make this stuff up.

I think that's my cutoff point - 8 under - if Koepka keeps playing well. Everybody higher needs BK to come back to them to have a shot.

I didn't catch the comments, but that's laughable on all fronts. I don't follow social media much at all, so if Koepka is more focused on winning, more power to him. Maybe other players (Rickie Fowler) could learn a thing or two if they want to be known more as a big tournament winner than a popular person on social media.

CBS, just like everybody else, will cover Tiger first, and trickle down to the mainstream guys (Jordan/Rory/Rickie). I'm sure it bothers them that they have to cover a guy like Koepka who seems like he is always there in the biggest tournaments. I want to see the best players playing the best golf.....but I know that I'm in the minority in regards to the general TV audience.
