A year ahead on this but next summer's UFA class has the potential to be the craziest one yet. A lot of names on that list (Doughty, Karlsson, Duchene, Panarin, Seguin, OEL, Wheeler, Pacioretty, Ellis, Eberle, Anders Lee) who could create some bidding wars, especially if the cap jumps at the same rate it is this year.

If Panarin makes it to UFA, I will eat my shoes.

There's a good chance all of those guys re-sign wherever they are and don't make it to UFA. I mean, I don't think Dallas is going to do anything to let Seguin get away from them.

But guys like Karlsson and Doughty have pretty much said they're going to UFA. Stamkos got to UFA. Tavares looks like he's headed there. It seems to be getting more common for guys to want to see what's out there before committing. And that's fine.

I don't think Eberle will be re-signing with the Oil if he makes it to UFA :D

Jackets have some big names to sign in the next few years, so we need cap going up as much as possible.

They have around 3.5 space now. Lose almost 7 with Calvert and Johnson going away. If they can move Dubinsky (which is unlikely unless they retain salary) they should have enough to spread between Bread, Werenski and Bob over the next few years. Murray should get a show me deal for not a huge raise, or maybe he gets packaged with Dubinsky. Dubois will get paid too. So we could use cap help :)

And I hope Cole and Letestu stay around for reasonable money (although Cole is looking like a raise is in order. Guy's a warrior). I'd welcome Vanek back, but they probably can't afford a significant raise and he deserves it. He's said he wants to go back to Vancity anyway.

Vancouver's a port city. The Yayo comes in there puro. At 18-5 a key jou can't beat that price in Columbus mang. Beside, he don't like fuckin Columbians mang.

Wonder where Kovy ends up going though. Think he'll have a few suitors when he comes back to the NHL.

He turned 35 today and is now officially a free agent according to the NHL.

Doesn't mean things can't change, but from Z's last interview, local. He stated he wanted to play here for a least one more season. Thinks the kids coming-up are going to be fun to play with.

personally if they were to trade him, possible Tampa, good for him. But the Wings better be aiming for some big fish then, Karlsson or Tavares. Everyone in this town is already pissed off that Blashill is coming back, loosing Z for more draft picks will empty seats at the Pizza-place.

JMHO!

Zetterberg would be a good pickup for a lot of teams. Be nice to see him win 1 more Cup before he retires.

No problem with your comment, if he does in fact leave the RW's, I would miss him on the team, but wish him the best.
