That Yankee bullpen is a strikeout machine.

Tanaka looked great his final two innings as well. Rarely will I make excuses but I think most teams would have looked poor those last few innings.

Last night (4/19), the M's went -6 in k/bb

I think it's the first game where our pitching gave up more walks than K's, but I'm not positive.

+14 is our current season k/bb

M's went +2 today, mostly because of pitching, 9 Ks and only 1 BB issued.

We're at +16 for the year now.

Fister was all over the place and thank god because we sure couldn't hit the ball. 4 hits to their 10 lol. living on the long ball

Plus Walker was awesome tonight.

After last nights game the M's offense is tied with the Blue Jays for the highest walk % in the AL. Just one month but night and day from last year

I've gotten behind.

So we've actually gone negative in k/bb over the 4 game win streak. Just goes to show that numbers even out since there were some losses where we were well positive.

-2 last night (friday, 5/6). only the 2nd or 3rd game i can think of where our pitchers didn't issue fewer bb's than k's

so we're at +34 for the season

M's plate discipline has been pretty consistently good. It'll be interesting to see what happens when they start facing better teams next month.

Again, the team finished last year at -66. And the M's have only finished over .500 one time in the past 40 years with a negative k/bb.
