The next test for DH

I am as happy as I can be right now with the direction of the program.

The next test for DH and this staff if can they win when they are the favs and getting all the praise in the press...can they keep this team focused and prepared for the next game. Last year he answered the critics with having his best finish since being a HC besides year 1. This year he will need to do the same, could care less about rankings there are some good teams left on this schedule.

Agreed..this party is just getting started...beginning with TCU..

TCU should be another great test. They have an offense that doesn't seem to have missed much. Hill may be a little more inconsistent than Boykin. But, obviously... he is doing good things there.

TCU's defense has really been a disappointment. They gave up 470 yds to KU in their last game... almost 350 through the air. Hopefully, Patterson doesn't get his boys straightened out this Saturday.

Would love to see WVU take them Horned Frogs to the woodshed.

And I would love this team to shut up Jason Seahorn, another ESPN talking head that believes we do not deserve to be ranked. The 2 other talking heads gave us some credit for the defensive play but Jason kept the party line. He was quick to point out Youngstown State, gave no credit to Mizzou nor BYU. Said TT was another high scoring Big 12 team that finally came across a decent defense.

Now the season really begins. We have run through the relatively easy games. The meat and difficulty of the season is right in front of us. This is a brutal stretch of games coming up for us. 5 of 7 games will be against teams that were ranked at some point this year.

So far, I like where we have been, the future looks good. Hold on for the ride.

I think they deserved to be ranked...doesn't appear to me that any other teams jump out at you say in teams ranked 15-25....I do agree with him that the schedule hasn't been daunting, other than BYU is playing good ball...and when its all said and done KSU will get bowl eligible..Youngtown States only loss this year is to...WV and they are ranked #12 FCS..

Oh, I agree with what you are saying but it is always funny how it never seems to be the right time. Last year against, Bama, no credit. We have played the schedule that is in front of us, but always criticized for it, unlike other teams that have played similar. Wisconsin has played a hell of a schedule so far and have run a good gauntlet so far. When they lose, they are credited with "looking good in their losses". If it were us, we were not ready to play the big boys.

I was not commenting on the running style Zeroue was a shifty guy, Slaton was one cut and go. It is watching a guy who looks like he will dominate as both Zeroue and Slaton did. More similar with eyesight and being able to hit the hole and keep going. I think he will be the next great WVU back.

I wish Crawford had more time with us. I knew watching him run against Mizzou he was going to be a major factor for us this year.

Dana says Crawford and McKoy will both be fine (we'll see Dana is always a little deceptive in the injury reports)

Techs defense is the worst ever but they looked great. We will need all 3 for this next set of games. We win the next 2 and Dana gets extended imo, maybe if we just beat TCU.
