It's probably negated by the money they gave him but Unai Emery leaving Sevilla for PSG seems like the worst managerial move ever right now. Sevilla is second in La Liga 4 (7) pts back of Real, has maybe the easiest knockout round game in the Champions League and is rather fun to watch play. Meanwhile, PSG is 5 points back of Nice, has to get past Barca to advance to the QF's of the Champions League and is totally reliant on whether or not Edinson Cavani remembers how to play football on any given matchday. Ouch.
To pile on this, Sevilla ended Real's 40 match unbeaten run today and now sit one back (with 1 more GP).

This is a mighty fine read about Ronaldo's 1996-97 season at Barca if you can ignore the annoying weird text gifs dropped periodically through the body.

And if anyone does read it, this is video of the goals from that bonkers 5-4 Copa del Rey match it describes. Don't really blame Gaspart for locking himself in the toilet lol:

It's trash

/though very interesting that the guy who designed the blue jays font is still getting work though :thumb:
Hahaha that was what immediately came to my mind too just wasn't sure anyone else would see it.

Maybe this is like one of those New Coke-type conspiracies where they change it then change it back after the uproar and cash in on the increase in sales? Club logos get tweaked or modernised all the time but I can't think of a modern-day situation where a classic crest was completely jettisoned for whatever this is.

Manchester United are increasingly confident of signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer - for what could be another world-record fee - although Luke Shaw is almost certain to be on his way out of Old Trafford at the same time, with Jose Mourinho frustrated at the left-back's lack of development.

Intermediaries representing Griezmann and United have been talking for several months, and the Euro 2016 top scorer is said to be extremely keen on the move, with the chance to link up with international teammate Paul Pogba only making it more enticing. The principles of any prospective deal have already been verbally agreed, including weekly wage and prospective shirt number. United would likely have to match Griezmann's buy-out clause, that is set at €100m.

...

United will meanwhile be open to offers for Shaw. The 21-year-old has only made 13 appearances for the club this season, with none in the league since 29 October and none in any competition since the 30 November League Cup win over West Ham United.

Mourinho is said to have become fed up with Shaw's lack of progress in what the manager is trying to do with the team, and that has even led to some senior first-team players speaking to the young defender privately. The expectation is that he will be sold in the summer, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur - depending on Danny Rose's future - earmarked as potential buyers.

Geez, for a second I thought I saw Vancouver and Nazem Kadri and then I thought what has Benning done now?

A forward grouping of Ibra, Griez, Rashford and Martial is...uh...scary.

Yeah. I should've clarified. Bayern is ready for the UCL either way. There was talk of the move for a while now.
It's gonna take him some time to unseat Hummels and Boateng anyway.

Bayern's been much better lately after a kinda rocky start under Carlo. They probably should be looking for wingers to sign rather than CB's but that's just me.

Seeing Everton light up Man City was a bit enjoyable now that Pep is in charge.
