Mitchell is the go to guy in Utah.

Simmons is the beta in Philly.

That is indisputable.

Here you go again twisting words because you feel defensive.

Come on, Dude.

Be better than that.

This is all true.

However, I am not completely sure Embiid is the best player on Philly. Simmons will likely always be viewed as Pippen to Embiid's Jordan because Embiid is the scorer, but I think calling Simmons Robin is selling him short a bit. I view those two as damn near equal.

I see your point.

Like Curry and Durant.

Except it's more like Curry and.....uber-Draymond.

Maybe Beal and Wall are a better comparison as a 1, 2 punch.

Beal gets buckets.

But, Wall sets the table and can score as well.

Interestingly though, everyone views Wall as the top dog there. Perhaps more because of his name brand and the fact he was a #1 overall pick. But you are right. It is a really good comp.

I think the only way Simmons doesn't win is if the voters hold having a "redshirt year" against him.

I agree with this completely.

Pippen was the perfect complement to Jordan because he was such a good off the ball player.

Ben Simmons leads the league in passes made. By a lot. He leads the league in passes received. The Sixers offense goes through Ben Simmons.

If we are looking at player comps I would say that early Magic-Kareem is the closest comp, albeit at a much lower level.

One play that Simmons and Embiid have really exploited more and more is Simmons driving to the hole and dishing a no look for Embiid and the easy bucket. They did it a couple of times tonight.

Yeah, Magic and Kareem.....spot on comparison of their roles.

Well done.

This is the happy medium for both of our slightly differing opinions.

Ben is not the number one option for scoring.

But, his fingerprints are all over every facet of the game.

Yeah. Even if Ben becomes the best player he can be, I don't think he will EVER consider himself the go to guy, much like Magic. He may, at times, take control of the game ALA Lebron but his style of play is about distribution.

If I were to guess this is the kinda play that Ben thinks of as a highlight reel play for himself..

...and that is a very good thing for your team.

Look at the fuckery that's going on in Washington between Beal, Wall, Gortat and the little taunts thru the press.

You won't ever have to worry about that.

He's unselfish. But, not passive or disinterested like Wiggins.

......imo....Ben will be everything I wanted out of Blake.

If Blake could have stayed healthy he would have been tremendous. I also wonder if things would have been different had he not had Chris Paul on his team. Point Blake could have happened.

I thought the Clippers made the right move by trading him but I certainly didn't expect to see those teams go on the trajectories they have since the trade.

Yes, he has point forward ability.

But, he's missing something I just can't put my finger on.

I really don't want any part of the playoffs.

It might sound strange to some.

But, getting obliterated in 4 by the Warriors or Rox is not worth missing out on two lottery picks.

I really like Tobias Harris a lot.

But, getting that pick is really the coup de grâce of that trade.

FWIW

Tweet has since been deleted.
Shrugs shoulders....

His form is looking way better right now. No way for us to know what's really going on and practice is still just practice.

I think it would be great if they could get him in there even if for limited garbage time play to start.

Derek Bodner confirmed that it was a fake screenshot.

That's messed up Mecca.

But then again, I have jabbed at your clips a few times too. I guess it is fair game when your organization is a complete disaster.

Much like the Clips, the current Wizard run of success is the best they have been since the 70s.

The thing with Simmons is that his production is ridiculously quite sometimes. I have watched a couple 6er games where it didn't look like he was really doing all that much offensively, then I look at the box score and he has 18 9 and 8. Many star players get their production in bunches. Simmons seems to spread his out more and I think that is a very good thing. It displays maturity that he isn't forcing the issue and taking what is there.

I'm sorry...lol

You know, I used to be a huuuuuuuuuge Bullets fan back in the day.

I was stationed at Fort Meade, MD in 1994 which is the year they traded for my Favorite player, Webber.

That Team got derailed by that Mark Price trade and the Howard/Webber r*pe allegations.

But, that 1997 series against the Bulls, when they had Rod Strickland, was the best 4 game sweep in the history of basketball...lol

I'm serious.

Those games were a emotional rollercoaster for me. But, I was proud of the way they fought.

Tracey Murray, Juwan Howard,...hell, even Calbert Chaney found his balls in that series.

....they even had a young, green Ben Wallace.
