The Last Waltz - Scorsese, last concert for The Band (and guests). Best concert movie ever potentially rivalled by Stop Making Sense.

Lord of the Flies - the original version, 1963. Great film. Highlighting the decay of civilization amongst a group of plane crash surviving young boys. Inspired my cap chant, "Kill the cap, slit it's throat, drink it's blood.."

Wonder Woman - 4/5

It was better than most of the movies DC has been putting out. The movie was very similar in parts to the first Captain America movie.

I think WW will end up being better than the newest version of Spider-Man.

Probably still a 8.5/10. The story was solid and Ledger really was something special. The voice and his speaking cadence while in the mask were really bad. Also, the way it looked like he constantly had a stuffed nose was distracting. That may have been a costume issue, though. Apparently, Bale REALLY hated the costume and used his hatred in his performance.

Affleck may be the best Batman yet. I will need to watch BvS again to really judge, though. Affleck is a very under-rated actor.
Bale is twice the actor Affleck is as Batman or someone else, imo.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

It was an enjoyable movie, but not that good. This movie has very little character and seems like merely a formulaic side episode, just to move the Marvel Universe a few feet forward. Everything just felt rushed through, and I think the first Spider-Man was a better movie. I don't like the focus on the Spider Suit. It's taking away from his other qualities. No "Spider Sense" anymore? I just don' think anything really stood out about this film.

B+

Ladies and Gentleman, the Rolling Stones. 1973 NA tour. Mick Taylor still there, highlighting a lot of Sticky Fingers and Exile as well as old favourites. A lot like Get Yer Ya Yas Out.

Sitting on the back patio, window open, 31 C, cold brew, sweet herb, Stones with Mick Taylor.

I love concert DVDs while I'm outside. Watching the TV through the window. And my sound quality out there is superb. I have zero reason to worry about neighbours.

Tomorrow, it's either Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's or Cream at Albert Hall, 2005.

A no lose proposition.

Bale is certainly twice the actor Affleck is in general. I haven't seen BvS, so I won't comment on it, but I will say that Ben Affleck is one of my least favorite actors ever. Weirdly enough, I think Casey is a fine, if not really good actor.

Yesterday I took my 5 year old granddaughter to see Despicable Me 3. I've never seen the first 2. But I must say I enjoyed it. The bad guy Balthazar Bratt played by Trey Parker is funny as hell. Maybe one of the best villains ever. He made me laugh out loud several times.

John Wick Chapter 2.

Like the first one, the body count is astounding. Having seen the first, I knew what this one would be like and I was not disappointed.

A Dogs Purpose.

Fuck I teared up during that movie.

My 7 yr old saw it with my wife. He wasn't sad at all during the scenes that I thought he would. They did those very tastefully.

I would recommend especially if you are a dog lover.

It was ok.. A little sugary sweet for me.. After a while you get the idea, I couldn't wait for it to end.

Get Out: OK, but a bit overrated. It had a very decent beginning and could have turned into a good psycho thriller, but the end kind of took the entire movie down a bad ending.
