I vaguely recall The Inhumans. Not my fav comic when I was a kid, so I only saw them in cross overs.

No, Crystal was the Human Torch's girlfriend, not the Thing's.

The Thing's girlfriend at the time was Alicia Masters, the Puppet Master's stepdaughter.

The trailer does nothing for me. I watched it last night. I doubt it makes it past season 1. With that said....I'll be watching episode one.

I watched it. Not as bad as the reviews, but still pretty worthless.

Now that Mutants can join the MCU, though, I doubt we will ever hear the term “inhuman” again, though.

It was not bad. Actually got better as the season went IMO. Won't be surprised if there is a season 2. But not expecting one. Maybe there can be a tie in to agents of shield once they finish this arc in the future.

I agree. Definitely got better a few episodes in. I think we could get a 2nd season, but not any more than that. Tie ins to Agents of Shield could keep it afloat for a while longer, but it doesn't look like a how that'll last long.

I don’t know why that would want to bother with it. Now that they own “Mutants”, there is no reason to invest further in “Inhumans”. Let the concept die and move on.

You make a good point. We'll see. I thought some really good actors were wasted in Inumans anyway.

That was my takeaway. A lot of terrific talent with extremely little to work with led to a show I could never invest in to continue past the 5th or 6th episode.

why?? Inhumans and Mutants are 2 different things... why cant they coexist like they do in the comics?? And The inhumans are more important to the MCU storyline to where it is now since they are going to be fighting the Kree empire...

also, ABC has agents of shield... they invested so much to the inhumans such that their main characters are inhuman... Why would they shut down the inhuman project??

4 years ago, before it was scrapped and relegated to television, Inhumans was supposed to be a theatrical feature film to be released today, Friday, November 2, 2018:

Alas, it was not to be, and we instead got that atrocity of a TV series, so none of us are going to the theater tonight for opening night of Inhumans.

I wish Marvel would announce that that TV series was no longer canon so we could get a good reboot of Inhumans.

4 years ago, before it was scrapped and relegated to television, Inhumans was supposed to be a theatrical feature film to be released today, Friday, November 2, 2018:

Alas, it was not to be, and we instead got that atrocity of a TV series, so none of us are going to the theater tonight for opening night of Inhumans.

I wish Marvel would announce that that TV series was no longer canon so we could get a good reboot of Inhumans.

The original scheduling of that film for today (Friday, November 2, 2018) is actually interesting, because Marvel's original planned film schedule was:

- 2018 May 4 - Avengers 3: Infinity War
- 2018 July 6 - Captain Marvel
- 2018 Nov 2 - Inhumans
- 2019 May 3 - Avengers 4

The above schedule suggests that the original plan may likely have involved the Inhumans getting devastated by the Snap and thus joining the fight against Thanos in Avengers 4 like we know Captain Marvel will.

But given how things turned out with Inhumans relegated to a TV series that was hated by critics and audiences alike, Inhumans fighting against Thanos in Avengers 4 will never happen.

A good story is a good story. But inhumans have a disadvantage from the beginning. A mute main character is not good. Nobody wants to watch hand gestures that they don’t understand.

That is exactly it. None of those characters have any powers that are interesting enough for the big screen. They are for the small screen and it didn't work. It wasn't terrible.
