The gap btween James and Durant is even bigger then we thought.

If you put James on the court with this same Ok City group minus Westbrook, the series still would have been over in 4.

If Wade is injured, James easily picks up the slack. Bosh went down. James found a way.

Durant is getting his points, but where's the defense?
Where's the leadership?

Anyway. On another topic. The Rockets will be scary good next season if/when Howard goes there and they make 1 or 2 more tweeks.

Durant is younger and hasn't had a chance to develop and grow as much as Lebron and Lebron has had a better leader from an experienced leader with Wade

The Thunder are doing hack-Asik right now. Wherever he goes, Howard has to practice his free throws. Otherwise, Asik is even better.

Durant is better than James right now and has been the last 2 years. In the finals Durant clearly outplayed him, especially in the 4th qtr...Leroids's teammates, however, dominated Durant's teammates which was the difference.

Let's remembr, when Bosh was out last year in the playoffs, Mia was about to lose. If you switch Durant and Leroids, Duran'ts heat would destroy Leroids/ok....Thats an indisputable fact. Sorry, but you can't deny facts.

Peace!!

Give him some time. This is Durants first try at being the only star on his team. Lebron had years of practice in Cleveland. Westbrook forced teams to pick their poison when playing OKC. Now they can just concentrate on Durant.

I would agree with the premise of this thread. CP3 might be the 2nd best player in the league

Lol maybe.. just maybe.... by the way tavon austin in my opinion is the best player of this draft. You guys are lucky to have a star like him on the team. Perfect weapon. Genome Smith ain't shit without him and it will show.

In Durant's defense, talking about last night, his teammatee were cold as ice and KD was getting em open looks. This next game he needs to be more a ballhog, there are times a superstar needs to be and this is the time. He is young he will realize that, he just hasn't been the position like LBJ has.

And yes we all know how successful Lebron was without 2 other superstars on his team in Cleveland.

Well Kobe won 2 without Shaq. And Kobe won 3 without Gasol. We know that. So that's 5 titles. Anything else is 100 pct speculation.

Now how many championships did Lebron win without Wade/Bosh and Now Ray Allen? 0. How many finals games did Lebron win without those guys? 0.

Note to self: NEVER enter a Thread with Lebron James' name in the title, ever again.

Shocker. Another thread off topic.
To be clear. I still see Durant as the 2nd best player in the league.
That certainly should not be taken as a bad thing.

Sometimes in my mind though, I wonder how the games would have turned out if James was on the other team and their best player on ours.

As far as who had who, it all comes down to the same thing. One person, no matter how good they are, isn't winning a championship without some other very high quality players on the roster.

The versatility of James is what really seperates him from any other player.

Who else can even come close to defending anyone 1-5 or being able to score playing any position from 1-5?

Lebron can guard 1-5 defenders, equally poorly. Lebron got lit up by every decent S.F this year, including duran't scoring 40 and Melo as well...

Lebron is a very over-rated defender. He's not in the top 10 in any defensive category (block shots, reboudns, steals). In block shots he's not even in the top 40. Plus he's a poor man to man defender, as evident by the fact that he doesn't pick up fouls. As the saying always goes: "if you're not picking up fouls you're not playing defense."

Forget about what Espn says, Lebron is a mediocre defender at best. The stats don't lie.

Peace!!

And Durant cannot guard anyone.

This was an argument of Lebron > Durant.
It was not whether Lebron is a great defender.

By any measure, Lebron is a far superior defender to Durant.
And Despite SMAN's rambling, most people accept Lebron as a terrific defender.

Durant is usually a horrible defender. He has gotten better this season, but he is still average at best.

Lebron is a far better player than Durant. But, Durant does have time to grow and advance.
