The game was called in the 8th after Texas(3-2) scored 2 to make it a 10-0 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi(2-3). Texas had 1 error with 4 for the Islanders leading to 4 unearned runs. Texas had 11 hits vs 7 allowed.

Not that it's a big deal, but you should start a Big XII Baseball thread. They are more relevant than the Big 10. I'd do it, but it's not my place.

I and others would probably drop a comment in there on occasion.

I'ld prefer a single thread for all baseball games or a different thread for every weekend. It's easier for me to keep up with the other teams that way.
If there were a Big 12 Baseball thread, it would be just me posting scores and I'm won't do that.

What say you other posters?

you can do what ya want, but I don't think we have that much activity here ..... YET. Each season we gain more baseball posters, but it's still just a select few who post regular in here. I don't see a need, but like I said, you're free to do it the way you want. Start it up and see how it goes. If others get on board with it, then you have a winner.

I don't expect the Big 10 thread to get much traffic, but it's there. Indiana will probably represent and a few Husker posters.

The Big XII stands a lot better chance to get traffic. They are a baseball conference just the same as the SEC, ACC, and PAC.

Now that conferences have their own networks, college baseball is going to become more relevant.

ESPN has been building on it for a few years now, and schools are beginning to realize that it can be a (cost effective) revenue generating sport. Many are, or have already upgraded their facilities over the last few years.

It would be cool to get some more people to join in. I find the baseball crowd to be much more conversational than confrontational. Same goes for the LSU baseball fans, known as some of the friendliest bunch and it is for a reason. I go to games and you could swear it's family the way you can randomly talk to people. Baseball has a much different appeal than football.

Yeah, like a loss isn't going to drive anybody into a frenzy like it does in football.
