Question seems to be whether Cleveland drafts Josh Rosen #1 overall or trade down. I believe they value Rosen above Darnold.
The more I saw Kizer late in the season...part of me would want to see how he develops in yr 2, the other part says he's not the guy. I think this is the year the Browns can actually get a QB.
Draft...Rosen has put it out there that he doesn't want the Browns to take him...I can't blame the kid, but it doesn't work like that. Darnold said he's coming out and I'm starting to get the feeling that Josh Allen is going to be in the mix early in this draft.
They will land one of the 3, and if it were me (Hue) and I knew this was my last shot, I would be asking for a stop gap QB like Case Keenum.
Maybe they can do something wild and parlay a veteran QB into the mix. I agree that Kizer is promising, but just not ready yet. Perhaps someone like Keenum or even Cousins. They have a massive amount of cap space to spend in free agency. If they're able to land one of those guys, then maybe trading down out of the #1 overall is their best option.
I do think they will go after Minkah Fitzpatrick with that #4 overall.
Why not offer Jimmy G a deal he is an URFA, they were interested in him.
I think Cousins wants that 100 mil contract and for CLE even though they can afford him. I would look at Keenum 1st.
Your skepticism is understandable a lot of QBs leave the Pats and falter, but so far he looks good.Even though I was a doubter...Jimmy G looks like the real deal.
All things being equal, I have to think he's going to want to stay with Shanahan...they also have a top 10 draft pick
If they feel he's a franchise QB, I guess it's worth it. I'd lean more towards Keenum as well.
Given time, Cousins is fairly accurate and in this era, that means 4000+ yds passing every season. I wouldn't promise any more than that.

i would to.Question seems to be whether Cleveland drafts Josh Rosen #1 overall or trade down. I believe they value Rosen above Darnold.
Well contract #2 is the big contract in this league so his demands should be high.Yep...have to credit somebody on that NE staff or front OFC...Jimmy G...is doing the small things that make plays happen...like not staring down his targets is a big one. I don't think SF can do any better in the draft...the only way this doesn't get done in SF is if Jimmy wants too much too soon.
According to Colin Cowherd, if the top-3 picks aren't this the people doing the drafting are idiotic:
(1)CLE--QB Sam Darnold
(2)NYG--QB Josh Rosen
(3)IND--RB Saquon Barkley
