I dunno about 5, but in terms of stretches, Pre WW2 Minnesota has to rank up there.

1934-1941:

54-9-1
5 National Championships
7 Big Ten Championships
4 undefeated seasons

Also, Oklahoma's coach during their run learned it from the coach being a player during Minnesota's run IIRC. Fun continuation there.

And I should have clarified, those were 4 AP NC's, not random undefeated seasons with a claim on a NC. And the only reason it wasn't 5 was the AP didn't do one in 35.

Basically, they started handing out a nationally semi-recognized NC and MN pulled a 'Bama by being almost year in, year out the best until we got into world war and everyone went off to fight.

I think I will go with Alabama 200

62-12
3 National Championships
5 straight 11+ win seasons
3 conference championships in an era of SEC dominance.
2534 for, 925 against.
14 shutouts

38 ranked opponents played in a 5 year span vs 13 for Oklahoma...just for reference Boise St played 9 ranked opponents from 2005-2009.

So yes, Oklahoma did all that, but the Big 7 only had one other ranked team during that span #20 Colorado in 1956...seems very WAC or Moutain West like.

Alright, you asked for it...

Nebraska 93-97
60-3

Could have easily been 5 straight.

Ole Miss and Texas A&M were ranked this year for Bama. WTF does that even mean?

Not EOY they weren't...and it means that the rest of the big 7(intentional lower case) was shit from 54-58.

Do not want to sound like idiot Sooners fan. Must resist bragging about OU record against Alabama for past 54 years. Must not show envy of Alabama success. Must not mention recent Sugar Bowl against Tide. Do not want to sound like jerk. :exploding:

Seriously, good luck Monday. Pulling for ya.
