The article doesn't necessarily say this, but one immediate benefit from a smaller roster should be a faster team all around. It does reference greater mobility, to me that pretty much equates to at least being quicker, if not downright faster.

I would argue that was more accident than anything. They tried to get Robinson and Conley involved, and they haven't really lit the world on fire. Kind of has led to a smaller lineup. Was rumored for a long while they were looking at big WR's in the draft and ended up signing Sammy Watkins instead. I don't think there's some guiding ideology that says going small is some kind of market inefficiency or anything like that. The Bears signed Robinson so maybe the Bears already felt they have at least 1 WR that can be a legit RZ target. They might be more accommodating of smaller players, but I would not say anything is guiding them in that direction per se.
