It's a case of the rich getting richer. Every time I see an article like this I wonder how and the hell does PAC-12 commish Larry Scott keep his job.
These ridiculous tv contracts are going to come to a head sooner than later, I'm more concerned with the return of Southwestern'ish Wyoming St school for kids who don't read good to our schedule

Meanwhile Pac-12 Networks looks like it is run from a third world country.

Nebraska gets full share now too. Even though it's been partial share, there was very little overall revenue lost when leaving the Big 12. They'll make that back up in no time and it's conference security going forward with a $$$$ ka-ching kicker.

I actually really like some of the shows they've created on the B10 network lately. I've found myself switching to their morning broadcast instead of watching gameday on ESPN. I also like the campus stops they do in the spring and during summer camp.

No way we could help athletes pay for their everyday expenses though. That would be crazy

I believe that's already been built in. Aren't schools allowed to give a few thousand dollars to athletes for "other expenses"? It's capped still at a few thousand but more than enough to cover those things. Especially while getting room, board and education paid for.

BIG has the best coach in college football so it doesn't surprise me that their conference is making fat stacks of cheddar, yo.

Pac 12 network has a great model, regional channels for every 2 teams. Problem is they wanted to own it themselves, so they take on all the costs of launching it.

I see the BTN on my cable channel guide but when I go to it, it says I have to subscribe.
Not going to do it. Wish the cable company would just make me pay for it without me realizing it like the Longhorn Network.

There's some games and shit I'd like to watch.

Wow, shocker, like none of us have read this already.

Contract ends 2023, realignment shenanigans begin 2021, if anything happens. Then realignment announcements in 2022 just in time for the new contract negotiations.

You are correct, they are getting a monthly stipend already.

How do college football players use their stipends? Pets, car repairs and mom

They’re not paychecks, but major college athletes got extra scholarship stipends for first time this school year

I want to say Nebraska players were getting $400 per month, source was Kenny Bell for that.

Something that got lost in the tv deal announcements is that the Big 10 will no longer be dodging FCS teams going forward.
