The ACC Thread

Well, the new ACC thread has now been officially cranked up.

We have a lot of new things to discuss with the addition of Pitt & Syracuse, Louisville forthcoming. We also have lost the Peach Bowl to the playoff.

Talk now is that the ACC bowl lineup will look something like this:

1. ORANGE
2. Russell Athletic vs. Big 12 or AAC
3. Sun vs. Pac
4. Belk vs. SEC
5. Pinstripe vs. Big 10
6. Music City vs. SEC
7. Independence vs. SEC or Big 12
8. Military vs. ????
9. Right now we don't have a ninth bowl game. Hopefully that will change as the bowl landscape changes.

Yes, you are right, I had forgotten about that. The ACC is supposed to be playing in the Gator Bowl, switching with the Big Ten, who will be playing in the Music City Bowl when we are in the Gator.

If we can get a Big 12 rep in one of our bowl games, the ACC will play against a rep from each of the 4 other major conferences.

Possibly. But I think you are going to start seeing a lot more football quality coming out of the ACC in the near future.

FSU is back, Clemson is kicking ass, everybody else just needs to catch up to them. I expect UNC to be MUCH better this year, maybe going 10-2. VT should be back in stride, Miami is also expected to be a factor. We'll see.

GT, Duke and Wake will probably continue to suck.

You realize that we are the only consistently good team the conference has had since expansion right. I would love to leave. At lease we added Pitt and Louisville. Those bastards Ho felt the need to ADD PUNISHMENT to Clemson when they got in airflow bit of trouble bent over backwards to protect a program that made a mo mockery of student academics. For some reason Weaver decided to turn down in items to two other much better conferences. I will never know why.

The second best bowl is the Russell Arhletic Bowl. Think about that for a second.

How about you think about this instead. Our former #2 bowl just moved UP the foodchain to become a BCS playoff bowl. And I am sure that the Peach Bowl would still prefer to have a SEC vs. ACC match up like always. So who do you think an Atlanta bowl is going to pick whenever it can? ACC teams like VT, that's who.

The Big 12 lost the Cotton Bowl, too, but I don't see them sitting around crying about it. Their #2 bowl is now the Alamo Bowl but I haven't seen a single one of them complain about it.

UNC has beat GT twice since 1998. And will beat you again this year. Even the paid off refs cant seem to help the heels beat us. Where does all your imagined power suddenly emerge from? Heck on paper, we STILL own you.

I'm picking UNC at 10-2 and GT at 6-6. Georgia will rake you guys over the coals yet again. The question is, will you be able to beat Air Force in your next bowl game? or Utah? I doubt it.

UNC is a completely underachieving marvel. I had to go back all the way to 1980 to find your last ACC championship. You know what's funnier than that? Duke, Wake, and Maryland have won the ACC since UNC has.

And LOL at UNC swinging on the nutsack of UGA
