1. Probably everyone's favorite topic, the o-line.

2. I really want to see how our RB core does now that they're healthy.

3. ET/Locket coming back from serious injuries.

4. Let's see who can lock down CB2.

Glad football is back and ready to get this season started.

The locker room chemistry. The chemistry between the coaches and players.

That's a good one. I too want to see if the team is refocused and ready to play. Sherm especially.

According to McDowell it isn't serious and he will return in a few days. But the report also said facial lacerations and a possible concussion, so you never know.

Yeah, not the news you want to get on McDowell. If it were anyone else it would probably just be written off as an accident, but when the guy already came with a bit of a caution flag it makes it a bit more troubling. Hopefully just a freak thing and nothing more. I have a tough time seeing a concussion and cuts on the face in July making a player miss the whole season, but I guess we'll see. Maybe it's one hell of a concussion...(wear a helmet???)

you know when they ( football players ) sign a contract most if not all clubs put into them that riding motorcycles/ATV's is not allowed. I remember reading something about this like 10 years ago after someone was hurt or killed in a accident. Guess the NFL had moved away from that type of contract. Anyway i hope he is ok and is back in camp a 100% go in a few days.

Does anyone remember that about the whole ATV?Motorcycle thing? it was all over either ESPN or NFL network can't remember which.

I'm certain there's some "risky behavior" type clauses in there, but I don't think the CBA (or maybe even larger labor law) allows teams to wantonly ban players from riding motorcycles or ATVs. Now if a player messes himself up by doing something dumb (like no helmet on a motorcycle), then teams can probably go after salary recoupment if it playing time is missed because of it.

Kellen Winslow jr messed himself up pretty good doing "nose stands" on a high performance bike. I think Rothlessburger took a bad spill as well.

yeah i think it was one of those guys that triggered the thing on ESPN or NFL net about contracts that would stop players from riding ATV/Motorcycles. Like i said it was a long time ago but i remember them writing and talking about it.

Pretty cool to know he's going to be on the team for sometime. Looking forward to seeing some big hits.

Glad football is back and ready to get this season started.

1. I'm not much more comfortable with the O-Line than I was before this offseason. I liked the Ethan Pocic pick and I'd expect he will win a spot somewhere on the offensive line. But even then, the only offensive lineman I have any faith in performing at an average/above average level would be Justin Britt. Everyone else right now projects as mediocre.

2. I still like Rawls a lot. Obviously he had injury issues last year, which I think is an explanation for his poor performance when he was on the field. I'm mostly interested in Eddie Lacy's conditioning. It'll be interesting to see what the distribution of carries looks like by the end of the year. Even if Lacy is at around 245 as his contract stipulates, I still really like Rawls and think he's the most explosive runner on the roster. Also Procise offers a really unique skill set that I think the Hawks will be able to implement. I'm actually very comfortable with the Hawks running backs this year.

Something that's not talked about that I'm gonna focus on this year is the defensive interior.

The Seahawks generally run a 5-2-4 defense, and both the linebackers and secondary have been extremely impressive but Reed and Rubin were (IMO) kind of mediocre in the interior of the defensive line. Their inadequacy was compensated by the edge, linebackers and the strong run defense by the safeties, but I'm really interested to see how the interior plays this year. We've upgraded there with Malik McDowell and Nazair Jones.

McDowell and Jones are kind of opposite players. McDowell is a guy who projects as a great interior pass rusher, who somewhat struggles against the run, whereas Jones projects as a stout run defender who struggles rushing the passer. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Hawks rotate their interior. Assuming McDowell is fine, I'm REALLY excited to see the Hawks line on passing situations. Bennett, McDowell, Clark and Avril rushing the passer sounds deadly.

On run-downs I'm interested to see how they use Nazair Jones. Great run defender, limited rushing the passer, kind of reminds me of a leaner version of Red Bryant. They've got a lot of really versatile guys on the defensive line. I think that this defense will be really, really good assuming we don't get hit by injuries.

The Hawks didn't pile up on guys who will help immediately, but our depth got a lot better. The defensive line especially has so many guys that we can rotate in and out. This may be one of the best Seahawks defenses we've seen in a few years, which is really saying something.

Seahawks practice getting chippy. Germain Ifedi just mixed it up with Frank Clark and Cliff Avril. Looked like Clark landed a blow to Ifedi's face. Ifedi wasn't wearing a helmet. Clark booted from practice, escorted inside by coaches. Ifedi was being tended to by trainers but has now been taken inside as well.

Sheil Kapadia

Great these are the things that costed the Hawks a pick. Clark and Luke got into it just a few days ago also. I get it that Clark is showing passion but he is also showing disrespect to his TEAM MATES, His FAMILY!
