Somehow five quarters is defining of a teams overall performance, talk about cherry picking.

When a teams claim to fame is their "high powered" offense, five quarters without a TD is telling.

No DAD..come on...no FCS teams in the back end of the schedule...you try and convince me any team they played in the last 4 games and any of the remainder are TOWSON.....who BTW are 4-6 at the moment..:lame:

No Alabama or LSU in the second half either, take a look at the schedules before just claiming the last portion of the schedule is so strong. The B12 as a whole is down a notch this year from last year and the year before. Don't try to convince me that anyone in the B12 is above 'Bama or LSU.

Speaking of Towson,
Said it before the Texas game and say it now, the Big12 needs to take a page from the SEC handbook and schedule our "cupcake" games (at least one of them) late in the season. Not banging the SEC at all for it, they have it right IMO. Protect your teams as much as possible, no 5 game conference streaks without a bye or a "cupcake" to beak it up. We could have used that Towson game Saturday BAD, especially this year with this schedule.

:agree:People bitch about the SEC doing it, it is smart scheduling, let some of your kids get healed up.

The first six games this year included TWO top five at the time teams, UMD, Towson, TT, and Kansas, get a clue before just running your pie hole.

I say we can DH look at those numbers he is only averaging a little over 30 ppg in the last half of the season for his career.

I guess we don't want to talk about the decline in offense when your man love took over the program.....

Looks like the conference's offensive numbers are better this year than last year. Which makes your point more confusing...

No, I'm covering nothing, Holgorsen did not want Casteel to be there, Luck kept the defensive coaches here because they were still under contract and were doing a good job, Holgorsen had NOTHING to do with the defense until Casteel decided to follow Fraud West, talk about funny...........

This is absolutely wrong. I wish Jeigh posted on here more regularly. I remember he provided a link to a coach's blog site which detailed the meeting between Luck, Holgorsen and Casteel. I was dead wrong at the time when he insisted Dana wanted to keep Casteel. I owe Jeigh an apology. But, Dana wanted to keep Casteel as his DC. The problem was with Coach K. Coach K was quite outspoken that he did not like Dana's policy of not tackling in practice. I have heard/read/been told... the relationship became quite strained between the two. Coach Casteel would not stay at WVU without Coach K, so he took the 'Zona job with Rich.

After Casteel made his decision to leave WVU, Dana actually tried to hire Coach Venables after he left OU. But, Clemson offered him more than what WVU could pay.
