Novak and Rafa are playing possum I think. Tennis has become like the WWF. Just watch Rafa bounce back and get to the finals of US where he plays Djoker. Plus they don't stand to lose their ranking spots before the USO SO WHY BOTHER?

Fed should have an easier time with Murray than Monfils.

How about Fed coming back from a double break to take down Murray in the 2nd set. 5 breaks in the match! Pretty impressive returning today.

Fed is playing a lot better from the baseline thanks to the larger sweetspot in his current frame. However Murray is not back to 100% (not sure if he hasn't already peaked out in his career). Murray gave Federer hell in the past on hardcourt Masters events and had Fed's number in quite a few of them.

Fed made some unforced errors he needs to clean up.

How did Wawrinka lose to Benneteau with such a bad box score in the 2nd and 3rd sets?

If FED gets to the Finals, I hope he doesn't lose a 3rd Masters 1000 Finals this year.

Serena vs. Wozniaki has usually been a boring match in the past. Maybe it will be different this time.

Ivanovic vs. Sharapova could be more interesting.

I'm not watching, but will check this board for updates.

If I see people posting about a good match, I might tune in.

Boredo outdid my expectations and also exposes the vulnerability of Djoko! Prior to the USO EITHER both to plYers are in question about form and health or are both playing possum. We know Nadal is getting extra medical help that will "aid " him to " try his level best".

Novak doesn't look like the US Open favorite.

I didn't see the match but seemed like big John put up a great fight today.

I agree with the first quoted post by Hs0022. Robredo outplayed him.

I think Djokovic wanted to win this tourney. He's been to the Finals 4 times and lost, and he knows winning this tourney would give him something no person has ever done, which is win every Masters 1000. So he has plenty of motivation. And he's motivated in general, he constantly talks about additional titles he wants to win, and how he's disappointed with his play in some matches this year.

But despite all of that, he can still get beat. Robredo was controlling rallies well.

Djokovic having a hard time with Cincinnati (but at least still getting to the Finals) is like Nadal with the Miami Open. They do well but can't win in the Finals when they get there.

The ATP was hyping the "Golden Masters" a lot. They want to turn it into a big accomplishment like the career grand slam, and were prepared to have a big ceremony to honor Djokovic. I'm sure it was important to Nole and even more important to the ATP.
