Looks like the UCLA argument is shit now seeing how they're in the sweet16 but yeah,Temple got shafted.

This article screams amateur hour work. The committee treated temple like any other team out of a mid major league, which was the American this year with the way it performed. They finished 4th in this league. They had two wins against the field.

If you're a mid major with an RPI in the mid 30's there is a chance they won't get picked.

UCLA could win it all, and it won't change the fact they didn't deserve to make the field.

That said, I think the committee did a decent job this year. There will always be teams that did/didn't make the field that will be controversial (which is why the football playoff talk is mostly bullshit. If we could just get 4 teams in a playoff, there won't be any controversy... if we could just get 8 teams... 64 teams later and people will still be bitching about who got left out)

But controversy =/= corruption.

NCAA does a lot of things really poorly. Overall I think the tournament and specifically the selection committee is one of the better run things they do.

Seems to me the article quoted some interesting facts however, really didn't get into the bad losses which should also count regarding a close call. That said, UCVLA is making the committee look good.
