Seriously? Dumb move by him if he has another year of eligibility. Maybe he should have talked to Jevan Snead about the decision.

It’s his best chance. He’s gonna he standing on the sideline next year at Nebraska otherwise.

I wish him luck...but who's going to want him after the abysmal season he put up here?

Tanner Lee is the first quarterback in Nebraska history to declare early for the NFL Draft. He's the first offensive player to declare early at NU since running backs Brandon Jackson (2007) and Ahman Green (1998). #Huskers

The experts will look past most of those interceptions he threw given the level of line play he was behind.

He’ll get his shot to test out in front of them all.

He will be a UDFA but no higher than round 5

I would say his season stats certainly weren't abysmal. Passing for more then 3000 yards, and completing almost 60% of his passes weren't bad considering the shit coaching the team received. 6 to 8 of his picks were because of horrible play calling and horrible offensive line play, which will improve exponentially in the near future.

He's kinda like Aaron Rodgers I heard, so he should do OK. IMO, he will likely not get drafted, but sign as a UDFA, then spend years bouncing from team to team as a 2-3 string QB.

Best of luck to him.

He can make throws, but he does throw interceptions. A career 55% completion rate with a 1.25 TDs to 1 INT thrown career.

I wonder if he would have had an average to decent offensive line and an average to decent running game if it would have turned out different. Langsdorf and some play calls were just downright idiotic. Tre Bryant going down really hurt the team.

Sorry Tanner, you got a team that just had bad coaching behind it.

Was I an asshole again guys, I feel so bad, similarly how I felt when she was throwing 4-6 picks per game. Good luck in the pro’s tho bra, it’s nothing like amateur college ball

I figured this is the route he'd go. I'm curious if he possibly never got the requirements completed to graduate and that's why he isn't going the grad transfer route. even that wouldn't be a given unless he could find somewhere he'd be guaranteed to start. As @Exorbitant said above, his stats weren't horrible other than the INTs, look at the crappy o-line play and the drops WRs had as well.

I haven't looked at the QB names in the draft this year, but i wouldn't be surprised 5-7th round, but even if he doesn't get drafted he'll certainly end up in some camp and given a shot.

as far as Gates - horrible move imo. guy was mediocre at best this year. guess we know someone who doesn't want to get in shape for SF's offense.

Who is gonna be QB1?

At Nebraska? We don't know. With a new head coach and new coaching staff, it is up in the air. O'Brien could move in the pocket, Gebbia is definitely a gamer but he was scrawny, Martinez is the QB Frost wanted.

Based on that, I will give it to Martinez. Personally, I would like to see O'Brien given a chance.

For the NFL? Josh Rosen is the best QB in my book. Mason Rudolph is another NFL ready QB. You cannot argue with Baker Mayfield and his winning ways and he has always overcome any obstacle. But I would not draft Baker in round 1.

Tanner Lee will get a FA signing based on his relationships with the Manning Academy. Who knows, if Lee actually gets a chance to play with NFL type talent maybe he is pretty good. If I was an NFL team, I would definitely sign him to a free agent contract.

1) wow, thanks for this.

2) congrats on frost, i'm sure most would agree he was the right guy for the job.

3) I had lee on my fantasy team this year, he did leave a bit to be desired there. But the sheer amount of turnovers is what was most concerning.

so TL played in the Senior Bowl. pretty crappy performance. 1 INT, 1 sack and fumble returned for 6. no TDs.

sounded like, just like his career, that he was hot and not throughout the week. I watched some of the Senior Bowl, he just never seemed in-sync with the WRs. His INT, in my unprofessional opinion, it looked like he saw zone and expected the WR to sit his route down in the zone but the WR kept running. the fumble wasn't entirely his fault, the right tackle got smoked and the DE was on him quick, but he saw the pressure coming and should have been able to tuck the ball and hold on.

I had thought he'd go in the late rounds, but i'd guess now that he'll go Free Agent route and get invited somewhere, but probably won't make any team. unless there was something during the week that a coach saw and thinks he has some issue thats easy to fix.

this is the most memorable quote:
