150 out, fan an 8 iron sky high left, screaming 'fore fore fore' at the top of my lungs, she shields her head, ball hits the cart path right in front of her and comes right up into her on the rebound. She was in some serous pain but she dismissed me saying she was ok. Anybody here tagged anybody? First time I've ever hit someone. I blame the course a little bit. It's a par 5 going in with 17 coming out and when you're on the fairway of 3 you know that you need to keep an eye open on the 17 tee box and when you're teeing off on 17 you need to do the same thing.

I once hit two guys with a single shot.

two old guys cut in front of us. As we were finishing the first hole, they went around us to the second tee. After that we ended up waiting on them every single hole...wife didn't want me to confront them. Finally on the 11th hole, couldn't really see them but kinda thought they were right where i usually hit...so i teed off.

One of the guys comes back in his cart and tells me i hit his partner and it him on the rebound. I replied that one of them should have remained visible and how in the hell could they take that long to hit a second shot. Also told them if they were going to cut in front of us, the last thing they should be doing is slowing us down. Guy gives me a grunt and takes off. They never did slow us down after that.

a co-worker and i were playing a around. We're waiting for the green to clear before we hit our second shot. The couple clears and my friend sets up and hits his shot. As the ball is in the air, the couple starts coming back towards us right in the middle of the fairway, ball takes one bounce and hits the lady right in the face. By the time they pull up next to us she already has a nasty bump on her forehead.

Turns out they lost a club and wanted to know if we had found it. They head back to the next tee box so i can hit my second shot...I pulled it, the ball smacked into a wood partition right next to them...we never saw them again.

Later i told my co-worker that the woman was pretty good looking, he says "no, did you see that lump on her face?"

Where the hell was the starter?

I've never hit anybody nor been hit yet, but I don't play often enough. I'm sure it'll happen eventually. But one thing that happened to me early on in my playing days, I didn't quite understand at the time yet years later it still pisses me off.

I was playing a course first time, paired up with a guy who played this particular course often, and he was in fact helpful on telling me how to play each hole. But he also insisted that I play from the tips instead of the Reds, wanted me to go for the greens on the par 4's, etc., and I let him talk me into his style of play on a few holes.

But then we come to a hole that had a ridge in the middle of it. I wanted to lay up on the ridge -- and I did -- but dudeguy wanted to carry it and see if he could land the green blind. So after my shot, he asked me to stand on the ridge and watch where his ball landed. While I was up there, the stupidity of it all dawned on me, and in my anger, whoops, I didn't see where his ball landed. When he got up the ridge, I told him "I didn't see where your ball landed, because I realized you could have hit me, and I was watching your drive in case I needed to duck."

He was more pissed about his lost ball than my safety, though, and then he decided to rush through the rest of the front nine, totally left me at number 8. I walked off the course at 9 and he continued his round without me.

was playing with my dad a couple years ago. We waiting to hit up onto the green, sitting in our cart, when a ball comes SCREAMING at us and hit off out windshield. Scared the piss out of us. Came off a tee box on an adjacent hole from a couple hackers out playing a round of golf, but not sure if it was the next hole or what. My dad was pissed! That could have really done some damage.

Take a few golf lessons and learn course etiquette before you play the game.

Was talking to my playing partner as we left the green we had just played and were walking to the next tee when he crumples to the ground out of nowhere..."WTF, Mike?"...then I notice a golf ball trickling away.

Hit on the fly, a bad slice from the adjoining fairway, put him down on the ground. Better than a head shot, I guess.

Haven't hit a person yet. Hit the cart a couple of times, landed into a few back yards. Hit lots and lots of trees. The Squirrels are definitely restless when the see me drive up. Couple of years ago I was playing with a friend and getting set up with a 5 iron on a Par 3. Friend walks over. Picks my ball up and throws it into the woods.

I said wtf?

He said it was the only tree I haven't hit yet and he was trying to help me out.
