Palm thinks the committee is set on only taking 4 teams from the Big 10 unless a team not named Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan State or Michigan wins the Big 10 Tournament.

He also went as far as to say that Nebraska must hope to God that nobody upsets any of those teams before Nebraska has a chance to play them in the semifinal because we have to beat someone of relevance.

I don't see us winning out the rest of the way. In fact this Illinois game scares me. And if the season ended today we would most likely be playing Michigan in that 4/5 game in the tournament which would be tough.

If we go 2-1 the rest of the way and then lose to Michigan in the tourney that puts us at 22-10 and I don't see that getting it done.

There is a LOT of work left to do with zero margin for error.

The one silver lining is if we don’t make the NCAA tournament we’re going to be guaranteed the #1 overall seed in the NIT, which means we get home court advantage throughout.

We’re pretty good in the PBA, and I’ll bet we would have quite a chip on our shoulder at that point....both the team and the fanbase.

Yeah. I posted over a month ago where I'd read that the Big 10 could get as few as 4 teams in.

Last season's Big 10 tournament had a #6 and a #8 make it to the Semi, so he's not off his rocker there.

#4 regular season finish with quarter and semi final wins, Nebraska is in. They are next 4 out right now.

I couldn’t disagree more. He needs to be retained for next season no matter what. This is the most talented team I’ve seen since the early 90’s and we can’t break that momentum over being greedy.

Next year HAS to happen with the players we currently have and the coach that we currently have for the future of Nebraska Basketball to start getting better. It just wouldn’t be the right timing.

If we were at 16 wins or something right now I’d sure be on your wagon.

A new 'proven' coach would have the same talent and might be able to beat a decent team now and then. 20 wins over scrubs is as meaningless as bopleeny's 9 wins over scrubs.

This is a tournament team, regardless of what the paper with numbers on it says.

Anyone who watches a lot of basketball knows it when they see them play. It took them a little while to gel, but they’ve worked it out and they’re playing like a team that can make a run in the NCAA tournament.

Can’t punish Miles for not making the tourney with 23ish wins.
