I re-watched the Superbowl. It was such a great game. A few things really stand out. The Foles TD catch play was legendary. Pederson outcoached Belichick on that play. Pederson played aggressive with his play calling and it paid off for him. Foles did what TB couldn't do and that was make the clutch catch.
Foles was cool, calm & collected from the first play throughout the game. He deserved the MVP because he made the throws when he needed to. Also, as impressive as TB was with passing yards his fumble late in the game will be what people will remember.
Brady looks 40 when he tries to run. If you can get inside pressure he can be beaten. The play when he got tackled before getting out of bounds at the end of the second half kept the clock running and hurt his team.
On defense the Pats got exposed. If you can figure out how to score against them in the red zone then their defense can be beaten. They got gashed with big runs by RBs and they had no answer for the Eagles passing game. The Fins need a big strong RB to compliment Drake's versatile skill set. Also the Run Pass Option by QBs gave the Pats problems all year. The Eagles have one of the best Olines in the NFL and the Pats seldom got pressure on Foles. Flowers is their best pass rusher and he was a complete non factor.
Benching Butler may have cost the Pats a Superbowl. Belichick made a big mistake with his team's chances on the field and team morale gets effected when players see one of their best players out of the game. Also, to announce that right before the game seemed almost lilke a punishment to the guy who made the play of the game in the Superbowl a few years ago against the Seahawks.
