Never even followed that event. It was such low key. But fed is playing and can run into Tommy Haas in the second round

Dang it! I've been trying to watch Haas win a match for years.

He finally plays a good one, and I miss it.

Also, this is why I TOLD FED to play the FO, so he could practice against real players in a competitive environment. He had nothing to lose, after all of the winning he'd already done. No loss could hurt the great year he's had.

He can still play anywhere, he knows how to hit shots and angles. Endurance is his only limitation.

Also, what could FED have learned playing such a low key event? An event with better players is a better test.

I don't think it was about learning anything. Grass court season is extremely short. You basically have 3 tournaments at most to play prior to Wimbledon. He chose to play 2 tournaments. Both events this week were 250 events. Both events next week are 500 events.
