Streaming Defense Help

Week 10's waiver cesspool in my league:

(filtered by projections)
1. Patriots (@DEN) - 11.9 ... Not really sure how to feel about this group after they just put Hightower, arguably their best defender on the field, on IR.
2. Dolphins (@CAR) - 11.5 ... Monday night football usually brings out the best in some teams.
3. Packers (@CHI) - 11.3 ... Divisional rivalry usually produces good scores for defenses. But Hundley cannot sustain drives which hangs this unit out to dry. Hence the -1 output against Detroit last week (granted thats a better offense).
4. Chargers (@JAX) - 10.6 ... Decent matchup but they are allowing the 3rd most yards per rush & Jax is a run-first offense. Won't be too many chances to get to the QB if they run the ball successfully.
5. Redskins (vMIN) - 10.2 ... Not the most reliable of defenses, but playing at home against a questionable offense seems enticing.
6. Saints (@BUF) - 9.7 ... Been playing better than all the above. Not really the strongest against the run so McCoy could have a good day.
7. 49ers (vNYG) - 9.6 ... Usually the G-men are a good bet for streaming defenses, but this isn't a good defense lol.
8. Buccanneers (vNYJ) - 9.6 ... Haven't played very well recently & the Jets are rolling (never thought I'd ever say that)
9. Jets (@TB) - 9 ... Backup QB? Sounds decent. They've been playing pretty well all year.

others: Browns (@DET), Cowboys (@ATL), Texans (@LAR), Bengals (@TEN), Falcons (vDAL), Colts (vPIT)


Who would you pickup?

I'd say the jets defense.

I had the same problem. Went with the patriots. But that's because the jets were not there.

Saints might be the best defense of this group though.

gut says Pats with Brock O leading the Bronc-O's this weekend
But with NFL this season, I'd rather stick with the more consistent options in Jets/Saints

You would think the snow would heavily favor the Bills since the Saints are used to playing in a warm & cozy dome.

lol. Just don't see that shootout happening without Mike Evans.

I own the Pats on D2 and they have been disappointing to say the least. That said, their game is a prime time game Sunday night. NO WAY that Hoodie is getting embarrassed on SNF. The one week I think I can start them with confidence.

Truth. Probably putting too much stock into the Hightower injury. He was the key cog in that defense so it worries me.

Pats D could be without DT Malcom Brown too. Yikes. That leaves a glaring hole in the middle with both him & Hightower out.

Broncos should run it right at them.

But I think we may be assuming that this game will be close. Broncos offense cannot sustain drives their D will eventually cave. Even the miserable G-men scored 23 against them. Point is Broncos will NOT be able to run all day if they want to win. (Insert mediocre Broncos QB here.)

As a Pats fan hope u r all right but what ive seen its risky play The 2 words u dont want to hear when your D is on the field WIDE OPEN and its been said alot with Pats D on the field
Right now i might go with the Saints they are playing well and forcing turnovers Jets sacked the bills 5 times Saints should do the same

I like the Jets of that group. No Winston, no Evans, and a TB team that looks ready to quit. Saints have been a solid play for a couple of months now too. That could be a low scoring game due to weather so a chance for good pts there

Really tough one there

I think the Jets but Fitz might be out to prove something against one of his hundreds of ex teams

and even that could mean he pushes to hard and throws an extra pick or 2

Saints are looking solid however I think risky as their D won’t have the solid footing they may need. and The Bills should be well prepared and in a nasty mood

I have Saints going in one but benched them where I could for the Bears at home against the Pack

We all seem to agree it’s Jets Saints or Pats. so at least we eliminated some
