Anyone else watch this?

It is only 8 episodes, so a grand total of approx 6 hours.

Anyone who grew up on '80s anthology shows (Tales from the Darkside, Amazing Stories, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone...) will love this show. It really had that feel, from the credit sequence (the font was so 80s-ish) to the over-the-top, bad soundtrack.

The story was clearly influenced by a lot of movies from that time period as well. Just a few...

I hope they leave the story be and make this a seasonal anthology just like Fargo, AHS, True Detectives, etc. while there is some wiggle room to continue the story into a 2nd season, I think it closed everything up fine and just left enough questions to keep us wanting more (a perfect ending, in other words).

8/10 (some of the acting was a bit suspect, and even though I appreciated what they were going for with the soundtrack, it was still too annoying for my tastes)

I just finished episode 5 and love the 80's feel to. The title sequence, the music within the show. All great! Its getting more and more freaky as I go.

I didnt mind the actual songs so much as the mood music. Also, in about ep 4 or 5 there was a song I didnt recognize that was just REALLY out of place. It was a very vocal-driven song (dont remember the exact scene).

If 80's retro with musical accompaniment is your thing, and you don't mind subtitles, 'Deutschland '83' is a cool stroll down the cold war memory lane from the other POV.

I saw the first episode last night and am definitely in. Sci-fi, creepy, retro look.

I wasn't going to watch it until a coworker RAVED about it. Once I gave it a chance, I finished it in one night.

Finished it a couple nights ago. Loved it. Given the hype surrounding it I would be shocked if they don't renew a second season.
